I don’t own anything from BtVSRating:
Hope is the moment you know you're alive. Even if it's for just a few more hours.Warning:
An introduction. To what, I don't know. I got the idea in my head and it won't leave me alone. Tell me what you think and shoot some ideas my way? Anything is appreciated.
Dawn is hope. Not Dawn Summers, but that moment when the Sun breaks the horizon. It means the fighting is done, at least for tonight. Survival has been won and you can rejoice. It's your first night with us, so congratulations, here's the bloody t-shirt.
Savor these moments because they don't last. You survived yeah, but others didn't. Later there will be funerals and after that we prepare for the next battle. This is our daily cycle. Sunrise – party, morning – grieve, Noon – research, Sunset – prepare, night – fight. Somewhere between all of that you have to add in sleep, food and hygiene. Rather grim, isn't it?
Someone once said, “the darkest hour never comes in the night”, it might have been in a song, but it's true. The darkest hour has always been right before the Sun goes down. When you know you're staring straight down hours of darkness, fighting to protect, fighting to survive.
I know you've already gone through one fight with us, with me, but I'll ask you again. Can you handle a lifetime of this?
