“No. No, no, no… just… no,” Faith shook her head after coming downstairs and into the lobby of the Cleveland Slayer House. “Xander!”
“You bellowed?” Xander came out of his office and saw what had Faith in such a dither. “What’s the problem,” he could barely keep a straight face and hoped that someone had a picture of this.
“This,” she waved her hand indicating the site in the schools lobby, “This is unacceptable. What are you going to do about it?”
“Well, it is a rule and technically it fits the rule. Not what I expected but what can I say?” Actually it was sort of what he expected having been approached about it last week though he had not really been able to picture the full reality of what he had essentially been signing off on.
“What rule? What possible rule could allow this?”
“You know about what happened that one Halloween? Well since then the rules are that all Slayers must wear the costume of someone with super powers and is mostly non evil.”
“Mostly!” Faith sputtered, “Mostly non evil?!”
“What can I say? It fits the rule” Xander fought to keep a smirk off his face as he shrugged to his girlfriend.
“Fine, whatever. Just if they get turned into their costumes how are you going to deal with it?”
Xander’s smile at the first fantasy image of that faded quickly as he considered the true repercussions of such a transformation would mean as he looked out at twenty two young girls all wearing tight leather pants, midriff revealing black tank tops, leather jackets and motorcycle booths. Twenty two Faiths? He was doomed.
