A/N: Ok. . .I felt the need to write Oz’s death scene that happened in GI ch. 10. Willow made me cry, so I had to see what he was thinking. There’s only slight mention of HP characters. So, tell me if this is bad or good. But this is a one shot. WARNING CHARACTER DEATH!!!! OH, and Spoiler on what Willow’s Baby is gonna be in Chapter 12 (when it’s born). So, if you don’t want to be spoiled.. . .don’t read.

One Last Wish

“Crucio!”

Pain ripped through the young man’s body. He’d been hit several times with the same curse. Between that and the dagger in his abdomen and the bullet wound in his chest, he could barely think straight. Darkness clouded his vision, and Oz passed out from the pain.

* * * * *

“Daniel? Oz, Oz, Can you hear me? Yes, he’s over here.”

Oz looked out across a vast plain of deep emerald colored grass. He looked around. No, this wasn’t where he’d been. Hmm, maybe . . .

“No, it’s not heaven. But it’s pretty close. This is the waiting place.”

Oz turned to face the young woman before him. She smiled shyly to him. And that was when he recognized her.

“You’re Tara, right?”

“I was.”

“Those wizards - they won’t be able to bring me back, will they?”

“No.”

His mind raced to Willow. She’d gone to a bad place when she’d lost Tara. Granted they hadn’t been close since she’d fallen in love with Tara, but he could see it going to the bad (if not as bad) place that she’d been at before.

“She’s got more in her life to keep her balanced then she did when I died.”

“All of her friends, and the triplets -”

“And her child.”

“Her - child?”

“Your child.”

“I’m gonna be a father?”

“Oz, OZ? Can you hear me? It’s Remus. Oz, hang on. The mediwitchs are on their way.”

“Yes, your child. I’m afraid you’ll never get to meet her though.”

“Willow.”

“What?”

“Tell Willow that I love her. That I’ve always loved her. . . That I’ll never stop loving her. . .Tell her Remus. Don’t let her think that I don’t. . . Tell her I know, and that I’m so sorry, but happy for her too . . . That I wish I could, but I can‘t. . . Tell her to keep track of the moon. . . Tell Willow that I love her. . “

The light drained slowly from his eyes. Remus Lupin stared at the young man on the pavement die as the heavens opened and wept for his passing.

“They’ll know. They’ll know that you loved them.”

“I just wish I could see my daughter’s face.”

Tara smiled as she reached for his hand. He watched as another blond woman appeared beside her. He smiled in recognition. She grinned back.

“That is one wish I can surely grant.”

“Thank you.”

Oz walked between them as they lead him to see his daughter. But all the while, his heart broke gently.

A/N 2: Cameos, who loves em? As always, how’d I do?
