Giles looked around the library and smiled to himself at just how nice and quiet it was giving him the chance to sort through his card catalogue that been in desperate need of a jolly good tidy up. With a small glass of his favourite Scottish Whiskey he set about pulling the 'A' section apart.
Willow burst through the wall making Giles jump and part of section 'A' becomes airborne as Giles exclaims "GNYEHAHH!!"
Willow says "Hi". Looking a little Coy. She then went into one of her ultra speed babbles, "Giles Buffy was turned into Batwoman and she is rather confused and i was turned into a ghost, see me all ghosty and passing through things oh and i think Xander was turned into Batman but i can't be sure because apart from me and Buffy i haven't seen anyone else and why are you looking at me funny...Giles this is serious, i'm a ghost and Buffy is Batwoman or was it Batgirl...anyway it was definitely a Bat something with all the super tight costume and hotness...did i just say hotness i didn't mean hotness..." Willow had gone very red when it occurred to her what she had just said.
Giles took a deep breath and said "slow down and start from the beginning".
Kate looked around herself trying to make sense of what had happened to her when she noticed a shadow. All her instincts told her to move, she ducked to the side as a fist whistled past, just where her head had been less than a second ago. She lashed out with her leg in an impromptu sweep, her leg catching behind her assailants knees, she heard a grunt and then the sound of a body hitting the ground hard. Turning she looked at her attacker, her eyes going wide as she saw it's face, bumpy forehead and yellow eyes. In a moment of clarity Kate realised that this was all true, she was in fact in the world of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. And she was inhabiting the body of the Slayer herself. And with that realisation also came the knowledge that she really could die in this world if she wasn't careful. Looked around for a piece of wood that she could use as a stake but alas there wasn't any, going to her belt for an explosive batarang, she grabbed the first thing she felt and came up with a First-Aid kit, "damn!". She swore to herself that if she survived this fight she would check out what was where on this belt.
The vampire got shakily to his feet and shook it's head to clear it's somewhat dazed mind. When Vera had said she could give him immortality and power over the human cattle she hadn't mentioned the fact that those very same cattle could and would fight back. And she had made no mention of some chick in a batgirl costume who had real superhuman reflexes and skills. He realised that he was about to have a very bad day if he stuck around so with that he took tail and ran as fast as he could away from the crazy chick...no he didn't want anything to do with hot chicks in leather.
Kate just stood there in disbelief as the 'creature of the night' ran away.
Sunnydale High school
Snyder checked his watch for the hundredth time, he had another hour and a half before the delinquents were due back with Sunnydale's future trouble makers and slackers. He really wished the Mayor hadn't insisted on his loathsome students taking out the children trick or treating. He could be at home with his brand new copy of Monster Trucks Weekly. A very loud and strange rushing sound past over head a second later the building was rocked by a massive explosion. The concussion wave that hit the building threw Snyder from his chair, his head hitting the floor with enough force to render him unconscious.
Giles grabbed hold of the counter as he felt the ground shake from what sounded like an explosion outside. He looked with concern to Willow who was still standing on his feet, being a ghost she hadn't been affected by the concussion wave. Willow and Giles looked to each other then ran for the door. They had to find out what had happened and to see if anyone had been hurt by the explosion.
The sight of the explosion was dominated by a crater about fifty foot wide and about seventy foot long with a depth of about twenty to thirty foot deep. But what was unusual was that whatever had caused the devastation seemed to have bounced or skipped but the meteor had only managed to hit one car, an old honda which had been reduced to a single licence plate that was still spinning in place by the time Giles and Willow had arrived.
Giles couldn't help but grin as he saw which car had been reduced to modern art. Snyder was not going to be happy, and that thought alone widened his grin even further. And the fact that nobody had been hurt by this disaster was something else Giles took comfort in.
Willow just stood there with her mouth a gape as she took in the sight. It was at that moment something stirred within the wreckage of the meteor. The sound of groaning metal came from the deepest part of the crater and then a piece of the meteor flew from the base of the hole and landed on the ground about fifty foot a way. Willow and Giles eyes widened as an extremely beautiful and naked woman, that had raised from the wreckage of what now was obviously a space craft of some kind.
Kara Zor-L stretched, yawned and looked around. It was then that she noticed the two people looking at her and she did a double take. It was at that moment she realised firstly she was naked, secondly there were people around and thirdly she hadn't arrived where she was supposed to. Her ships computer had told her that she would be arriving on Earth in a place well away from civilisation. As this registered in her mind she quickly ducked down and grabbed the material her father had provided and she covered her nakedness as best she could. When she was satisfied she stood up again. Looking back to the two people she'd seen moments ago she smiled and gave them a small nervous wave.
Abigail lent against the wall of the building trying to catch her breath from running away from a platinum blonde guy with an English accent. He'd scared her on a fundamental level but she couldn't figure out why. He just felt truly evil to her.
