How They Reacted…

Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Harry Potter, nor any of the characters associated with them. They belong to Joss Whedon and JK Rowling, respectively. I am not making any money off of this story/blurb (whatever) so don’t sue, some part of me actually wants to go to college.

Rating: 11

Note: this is the sequel to How he did it. The only reason this was written was because people reviewed and the little plot bunnies took advantage of me.

Distribution: hell, if you want it, go for it, just tell me and attach my e-mail address to it ( so that I can hopefully get replies.

So, perhaps it wasn’t Mrs. Weasley they should have been worried about. It ended up being Mr. Weasley that Ginny ended up pinning down. That led to an explanation of Ginny’s calling, which included the realization that the myth of the slayer was, in fact, true. That was only done with a very persuasive letter from Buffy, the head of the Slayers. That letter explained that Ginny was in no way required to take up her duties as a slayer; she had a choice, unlike all of the slayers before her.

Unfortunately for all of us Percy is still sitting on a chair, arms crossed, with his nose up in the air like the git he is.

All he needs is a little persuasion, which I am sure Ginny would be more than happy to provide.

Percy’s eyes widened in fear as his youngest sibling, and the only girl, grabbed him by the scruff of his collar and pushed him up against the wall.

“Bloody Hell, Gin,” Ron exclaimed.

“Ron,” was the automatic admonition from Hermione and Mrs. Weasley.

“Oh, I think that this is -” George began.

“- a perfectly good occasion for profanity.” Fred finished with a grin.

I couldn’t help by smile. “Gin,” I said, “I think he believes you now.”

She nodded once and set Percy on the ground, where he proceeded to sit quietly on his butt rubbing his neck profusely, obviously still in shock.

“Anyone else?” Ginny asked with fire in her eyes.

Everyone but Mrs. Weasley and I shook their heads no. Mrs. Weasley walked right on up to her daughter and grabbed her in a huge hug.

“Congratulations honey,” she gushed.

I think it was Ginny’s slayer strength that allowed her to survive that bone-crushing hug.

I glanced over at Mr. Weasley and wondered what special power I would be granted to survive a possible lecture from the father of the girl I loved.
