He was out there, just waiting for Andrew to make a wrong move. As soon as the sniper made his shot, then Andrew would only have a few seconds to make his move.
He was there. Andrew could just sense him patiently waiting.

Fox Mulder was not having the best week of his life. Every trail he’d followed, every line of inquiry had not worked. And the same damn name kept coming up. Well, now things were getting personal.
This time his strategy was perfect.
This time he would do it.
This time he’d finally beat TDaltonrules

“Hey Andrew. What’s happening?” said Xander, as he entered the room where Andrew crouched.
“Shh!” said Andrew and practically dragged Xander down to where he could get the best view. “Don’t distract me. My timing has to be just right.” He gave a serious glance at Xander, before returning his full attention to what was in front of him.
No time to waste now. He had to make his move...now.
He did it.

Mulder cursed out loud. Enough to draw Scully’s attention from the next room. Determined not to wake anyone else, she got up and closed the door behind herself, as she came to stand by Mulder. “Fox?” she said, somewhat confused. “What exactly are you doing?”
“Gotcha!” exclaimed Mulder, typing away feverishly on the keyboard in front of him. “This time, Scully… This time I’ve finally nailed that son of a…”
Scully looked down at the distracted Mulder, and leaned forward to closely examine the screen. A small sound of confusement came from her mouth.

“No!” screamed Andrew. “The bloody sniper’s got me!”
Xander looked around the room in bemusement. No…..no windows, no other people there but him and Andrew. What the heck was he talking about? He, too, leaned forward and studied the screen in front of them.
“That damn FoxyAgent
has just sniped me on EBay! And there’s only 16 seconds left! I gotta… I gotta bid again!” Andrew managed to get out, all the while his fingers flying over the keyboard.
Xander’s jaw dropped. “That’s all you’re getting so worked up about? A mere online auction? Sheesh.” There was a slight pause, while Xander cursed his insatiable curiosity, but he just couldn’t resist looking to see what Andrew was bidding on. “Omigod! You have to win this, Andrew! I have to see one of these with my own eyes!”

Scully, on the other hand, was just plain confused. “Mulder? What the heck is a Cylon Centurion helmet? And why are you getting so worked up about it?”
“Got to win it, Scully! Got to win it! Not only for me, but to beat that bastard TDaltonrules
once and for all –all week long he’s been beating me at these EBay items!” said Mulder, eyes glued to the screen, watching the time drain away.
The screen beeped, as the auction finished. Across the country, the Refresh button got hit, and both Andrew and Mulder stared at the screen to see who’d won their duel in the end. Both men sitting there with one thought in their head: Who the hell was RozwellGirrl

And far away in New Mexico, Liz Parker smiled at winning the auction. Max was going to love this – now this was a birthday present worthy of him!
