In a Vision

Why wouldn’t this guy just stay dead, wondered Buffy.

She had staked him, stabbed him, slashed him, and even cut his head off. That was the one that impressed her the most. She took his head off and he just picked it up and put it back on.

When confronted with this guy she hadn’t been quite sure what to make of him. It wasn’t the clothes or the hair that caught her attention, it was the red bladed gauntlets he wore, and the bleeding holes where his eyes should have been.

He had struck first leaving her with a gauge in her side that had been slowing her down the whole fight. He wasn’t faster than her, but the fact that most her blows seemed to have no effect was starting to piss her off, his blows on the other hand hurt quite a bit, and it was starting to show.

She saw the claw strike coming and moved to avoid it, but was then struck by the snap kick she had moved right into. It sent her flying back into a tree where she fell limply.

“I am impressed girl. You put up more fight than many I have fought. But now it is time for..”

Buffy looked in the direction of the shout and saw three people. Two men and a woman. One of the men was blazing with power. And with that power he sent the man she had been fighting flying across the cemetery.

“When my mother banished you back in Errosus, I thought you would have the good sense to stay gone. But when I saw you ready to kill this young woman we decided to see if we could finish this.” The one who spoke then turned to Buffy.

“Are you alright Miss Summers.”

“How do you know my name?”

“My name is Dominic, and I’m a seer, its how I knew you were gonna be in trouble. The one you have been fighting with, is an infernomancer. He made a deal with a devil so that no physical injury would really harm him.”

By this point the Infernomancer was getting to his feet.

“Damn you Deegans, I can’t get away from you.”

“Gregory, would you deal with him please.”

“You got it bro.” Gregory, the young man who was glowing stepped up to the Devil worshipper.

“Last time I wooped your ass. Now lets see if I can make it permanent this time.”

The power around him seemed to brighten to almost blinding level.

A wave of pure white flame shot from his now outstretched hands. And straight at the Infernomancer. The evil mage had only long enough to get out one scream before his body seemed to vaporize.

The blazing aura now gone, Gregory turned back to his brother, smiled, took two steps, and promptly fell over from exhaustion.

“Damn.” Murmered Dominic. “I was hoping he would heal you. But it seems even he has limits.” He turned back to the wounded slayer. “Is there someplace we can,” he paused, “Oh shit.”

The woman stepped up beside Dominic.

“What’s wrong?” she asked. It was at this point that Buffy got a good look at the woman. She seemed to be quite attractive, the one thing that marred it was a set a tusks jutting out over her upper lip.

“We are about to have company.”

“Well, well, well. What do we have here boys?” The first of a group of vampires questioned.

“Looks like a wounded slayer and some easy meals.” Replied another. “Lets eat.”

“I DON”T THINK SO.” Shouted the tusked woman. This caught all five vampires attention. As did the ball of flame growing in her hands.

Her eyes began to glow with a fearsome red light and the fireball became larger and more fearsome.

“YOU THINK WE WILL FALL SO EASILY. YOU THINK I WILL LET YOU KILL THEM. YOU WILL BURN FROM THE POWER OF MY MIGHTY…” by this point the vamps are now running away as fast as vamply possible.

“… illusion.” She finishes, and she ceases to glow and the fireball winks out of existence. “I never get tired of that trick.”

Buffy stares up at the woman, now with a new gleam of respect in her eyes.

“Nice trick. Think you guys can get me back to my house.”

“Sure.” Replies Dominic. “But then we have to go. We still have to get back home.”

“Don’t worry. Its not that far.”

I have no idea where this came from. For those who don’t know it. Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire is a webcomic that can be found at

It is fantastic story and I highly recommend it. But I was just rereading part of it, and this little thing came to me. Hope you enjoyed this little fic.
