Author’s Note: The theory of L-Space insists that all libraries are one. This includes those situated on Hellmouths.

To say Giles was surprised to see an orangutan in his library would be an understatement. It would be the equivalent of saying the sun is hot, or the Watcher’s Council is stuffy. Never the less, he vowed to treat the situation with the sort of quiet British dignity that the situation merited.

“WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS AN APE DOING IN MY LIBRARY?”

The orangutan examined him and recognized a kindred soul. “Ook,” he replied and handed the befuddled man a banana before wandering into the stacks. Later investigation of the library found only a lingering scent of bananas.
