Chapter 1 : A Hog What?
I did it. I saved them. I saved the world. I feel the volts of electricity jab me like two-edged swords. I feel the light cast upon my face, the portal swallowing me whole.
But in any case, I did it, and I saved Dawn. That's all that matters now. Dawn is alive.... I'm not. Am I? I couldn't tell. I can't feel. My body has gone numb and my mind feels as if it's shutting down.
Yes. It is. Maybe I am dieing. I hope I'll be okay in hell. That's where I'm going isn't it? Where this portal leads to? Hell. I begin to see blackness. It's swallowing me like the portal, drinking me like blood.
That's what it wanted. Dawn's blood. My blood.
Can I open my eyes now?
3rd Person, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Oliver Wood sat at the long, teachers' table in the Great Hall, next to his partner, Remus Lupin, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor.
Since Voldemort had risen, it had become even more difficult for Dumbledore to find a DADA Professor, so he brought Remus back to the team. Because of the awful war, The Order Of The Pheonix were in much need of more recruits.
Oliver, just out of training to become and Auror, joined forces with Dumbledore and the Order. Not many children had come back to school this year, in fear of Voldemort.
Remus had asked Oliver to assist him in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, which Oliver gratefully excepted. Scanning the tables that held the students, Oliver could see three immediatley.
At the Gryffindor table, his old house, he saw Harry Potter, with his black hair mussed and his glasses oggling his nose. Next to him was Ron Weasley, with feircely red hair, just like his sister Ginny, across.
Next to Ginny sat the smartest girl in the school. Hermoine Granger. Her bushy brown hair was pushed behind her ears as she took a sip of pumpkin juice.
At the far end of the teachers' table, Oliver could see Dumbledore pinning a smile on his face, even though chaos was surrounding them.
All at once, a bright flash of light shot through the windows above the teachers area, making everyone jump, surprisingly, even Dumbledore.
Everyone turned to look out at him, but he whispered something to Minerva McGonagall, the Transfiguration Professor. She nodded and stood, lifting the end of her dress, waving to the teachers.
"All Professors, please follow me. Professor Sprout, if you would be so kind to keep an eye on the children."
Small Professor Sprout nodded as the other teachers hurried out of the hall. Oliver followed Remus, who had a worried look on his face.
The Golden Trio, made up of Ron, Hermoine and Harry, all rushed towards the door, but Professor Snape glared them down, standing in front of the door.
"And where do you think your going?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
Ron looked at Hermoine and Harry, waiting for someone to answer, which of course, Harry did.
"To.. uh.. our seats." He said defeatedly, leading the others back to the Gryffindor table.
It was raining outside, downpouring. The teachers seemed to all line up in front of the school, looking out into the darkness of the school grounds for whatever caused the light. Oliver, turned left, when something caught his eye.
He squinted, trying to make the rain leave his eyes so he could see better, but it was no use. He was soaked to the bone. A small, pale blue light began to shimmer in the sky.
It reflected several other colours before growing larger, and larger, until something.. no... someone dropped hard from it, onto the ground.
Horrified, Oliver ran to whomever it was. He skidded down onto his knees, then looked up, seeing the [portal close. He saw a girl. Her white sweater was torn and bloodied, her pants dirty as well. She was dressed as a muggle.
She had pale blonde hair that seemed to now match her awfully paled skin. Oliver lay his head near her heart, hearing a soft, but slow beating. He touched her cheek, then lifted the small, fragile girl into his arms. She looked to be a year or so younger than himself.
"Professors! Over here! I think I've found something!" He shouted loudly as he began to slowly carry the girl in his arms. Professor McGonagall, followed by Dumbledore quickly found Oliver in the rain.
"Oliver is that...is that a girl?" Minerva asked, frightened as she eyed the unconscious child in Oliver's arms. He nodded. Dumbledore held up a hand and turned towards the entrance doors, leading the rest back inside.
