The First was ready for the fight. The slayers, their friends, and Spike were ready too. Then something happened.

Everyone facing the First disappeared. Except for Spike, who glowed for a second. Then a transparent form appeared beside him and vanished. It looked like Spike. The vampire turned to dust instantly.

“What...” said the First.

A glow appeared in front of it.

“The Hellmouth is closed now, and eliminated. Your boss has seven years, then Jesus returns.”

Angel and crew in Los Angeles vanished too. Even quiet Oz, went on his way to heaven to see everyone again.

“You can’t do this!” yelled the First.

“Funny, but all this time you’ve seen prophecies fulfilled or destroyed by Buffy and friends… you forgot about the greatest prophecy of all. Hmmm…. In fact, this one was a one hundred percent guarantee. By allowing the slayers to exist we made sure that nothing you or any of your predecessors did, would have stopped it. This is the only prophecy that will hold true. Anyway, see you at the final battle. I will of course be cheering My Son on.”

The last remaining members of the watchers council, who had scattered after the bombs, looked in shock as various people including fellow watchers vanished.

Quentin Travers was in the air, looking at his secretary then back out the airplane window. “Well, that random spell I put in place saved me some trouble.” He grinned, then frowned when she didn’t answer. When he turned around, he saw she was gone. In her place was what she had been wearing.

“Bloody…” Then the plane went into a steep dive while he screamed all the while. Then it crashed.
