It Runs in the Family

Summary: Former Air Force Sgt. Walter Davis shows his grandfather Radar O'Reilly around the
SGC in the 2010 universe. 100 word SG-1 crossover drabble with the M.A.S.H tv series.

Former Air Force Sgt. Walter Davis felt a great sense of pride as he showed his namesake
Walter O'Reilly around the SGC. His grandfather had served his country in a M.A.S.H. unit
during the Korean War and he had served during the Goa'uld War. At his grandfather's old army
unit reunions, everyone mentioned how Radar always knew just a little bit before everyone else
when the unit would have incoming wounded. Davis had never told anyone, but most times he
could sense an incoming wormhole before the computer did. If his wife could ever conceive, he
would tell his children.

Gary Jones' character seems to have had his name changed to Sgt. Harriman in season 7, but it
was Walter Davis in the "2010" episode, so that's what I'm sticking with. For those of you who
are interested, I intend on working Sgt. Davis and his grandfather Radar into my big "Alien
Apocalypse" story, although its going to take awhile to get to their part of the plot.
