Author’s note: I’m in the middle of a Buffy/Jack story, and every once in a while I feel a little guilty for "cheating" on Jack and Sam. This is to expiate my guilt.Special Occasions
They were almost finished getting their clothes back on when Sam asked the inevitable question.
"Well," Jack said. "We can’t make this a habit. Sneaking around always ends badly, eventually."
Sam considered. "What about just on special occasions? Like, Christmas?"
Jack kissed her lightly. "And New Year’s."
Sam rubbed her cheek against his just-barely-stubbly one. "Fourth of July."
Jack wrapped his arms around her waist. "Groundhog Day. And Secretary’s Day, or whatever the hell they call it now."
Sam laughed and said, "You’re reaching, sir." She kissed the hollow of his throat. "National Motorcycle Day."
"Aw, c’mon, Carter. There’s no such thing as National Motorcycle Day. That’s out-and-out cheating." Jack untucked her blouse from her slacks and rubbed the small of her back. "The opening of hockey season."
"Sure there is, sir. In Europe, anyway." She undid the top two buttons of his shirt. "Your birthday. My birthday."
Jack slid his hands around and ran them up her sides. "Daniel’s birthday."
Sam reached up, put her arms around his shoulders, and pulled him with her back down to the bed. "General Hammond’s birthday."
"Aw, for cryin’ out loud, Carter," Jack protested, as he wriggled to take off his belt. "That’s just wrong
