Summary -- Some musings about Lilah and her relationship with
Wesley. Angsty and accompanied by the equally angsty 'Stop!' by Sam Brown.
All that I have is all that you've given meAll her life, Lilah Morgan had been empty. And happy to be that way-
did you never worry that I'd come to depend on you?-when it had given her success, esteem and respect. She had been independant,
wanted and unattainable.
I gave you all the love I had in meAt Wolfram and Hart, you signed away your soul, so she had never seen the point
in love. She'd never thought she was capable. Love was reserved for do-gooders
and people who had nothing better to do.
now I find you've lied and I can't believe it's trueThat was what she believed.
Really.
Wrapped in her arms I see you across the streetShe should have known that Wesley was trouble from the start.
and I can't help but wonder if she knows what's going onWesley with his perfect-
you talk of love but you don't know how it feels-beautiful-
when you realise that you're not the only one-innocent Fred. He reminded her she wasn't the one he loved, and she reminded
him and herself that she couldn't love,
Oh you'd better stop before you tear me all apart
you'd better stop before you go and break my heart
ooh you'd better stopBut she could. And she knew it.
Time after time I've tried to walk awayShe should have never gone to him.
but it's not that easy when your soul is torn in twoIm public she was the alluring seductress, detached and promising; in private
she was the victim.
so I just resign myself to it every dayAnd she carried on-
now all I can do is to leave it up to you-wishing he would end the sordid thing that had grown, because it was consuming
her-
Oh you'd better stop before you tear me all apart
you'd better stop before you go and break my heart
ooh you'd better stopAnd for once in her life, she felt completely powerless.
Stop if love meEveryday he loved Winifred
now's the time to be sorryEvery night he was more tender
I won't believe that you'd walk out on meAnd he'd tried to save her soul.
Lilah Morgan could love. He'd done that much.
