This work is a piece of pure fiction, based on Buffy: the Vampire Slayer and The Dead Zone series.
No real pairing, just a little Buffy/Johnny interaction.
For B:tVS this takes place sometime before the end of season five with spoilers for the end of five/beginning of six. For Dead Zone, no particular time period.
DISLCAIMER: I. Own. Nothing. This includes The Dead Zone and B:tVS and sundry. That all belongs to different people, who make a lot more money than I do.*******
Got The T-Shirt
Holiday shopping. Buffy hated it with a passion usually reserved for members of the undead. Oh, sure, she loved shopping
, but Christmas shopping was entirely different.
It was the whole push and pull of people, the fierce competitiveness, the wholly animalistic way that humans acted while trying to get that last toy or piece of clothing.
Really, with as many people that was in the store, it was no suprise that she finally bumped in to someone. He was sort of handsome, in that older-man way, though the cane sort of threw her off.
She realized she was just standing there, staring at him, and gave him a brief, embaressed smile before starting to move out of the way.
They moved at the same time, though, and the man's hand collided with hers. The girl stands at the top of some sort of tower. Another girl is there, younger and obviously related to the first. She's bleeding and crying and there's a strange light off the side of the tower.
When he looks, he sees some sort of... portal, for lack of a better word. But that's not right, it can't be right, cause portals aren't real.
His attention is forced back to the blonde when she takes a swan dive off the tower, goes through the portal, and hits the unforgiving ground below.
Then he's in a cemetary, and he doesn't want to look cause he knows he'll see it, her grave, but he looks anyway. A marker is there, giving her a name. Buffy Anne Summers. A hand comes out of the ground, followed by the rest of the body. Buffy has come back from the dead.
He gasps, wrenching his hand away and looking at the blonde. She looks back, mildly concerned but mostly apathetic.
"Dead," is the only word he manages to choke out. She- Buffy- is looking confused.
"You- you were dead. And then you came back."
Amusement takes over and she moves back a step. "Yup. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt."
She leaves the store for another section of the mall, and Johnny stares after her, then shakes his head and takes off. After all, he's got enough to worry about without stressing over a vision. A really weird
vision, granted, but still just a vision. Like Christmas shopping.
