Who did it?

“Feel better Buff?” Xander asked as he flipped over the ice pack on Andrew’s head.

“A little. You all got all the answer that you’re going to get now, maybe ever. Let’s go rescue my sister.” Hefting an axe with a grim smile, the blonde slayer looked part frightening and partially like a child wanting to go out to play.

Daniel and Jack, both with their mouths open with many more questions ready to ask, stopped when shouting was heard from in front of the house. “It’s Tiff. I come with holy water and news from the Bar. Don’t kill me when I come in.”

The solid wood front door slowly revolved open as Tiff hauled in the two containers with crosses drawn onto the sides. The Scoobies relaxed as the unknown at the door proved to be a friend. Heading into the kitchen to drop off the water Buffy hollered after her, “What news from the Bar?”

"I was at the only local demon bar around here when Xander called me. I had a few words with the very polite patrons after I told them that they had better tell me every thing or that they would be visited by Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also dropped some names of who you all have defeated in the past. Supposedly, no one knew any thing, no rumors, no rumblings, no vengeance, or raising of the dead masters or something like that. They all swore they knew nothing and they promised to keep us informed, via Herbert, the bartender." Tiff sat down on the crate end tables with a clear view to SG-1.

"Buffy, your phone's ringing."

"Willow would you stop messing with my ring tone, please?" The petite blonde pulled the small flip phone out of her jacket pocket. "Hello?"

'Hi, Buff. It's Riley. After I got back to my team from Dawn's new place of employment I had our scrounger find out what he could about the place and people. Her immediate coworkers are some of the good guys, but they have some determined enemies. We intercepted communications within a rogue NID group that has it out for the SGC. They are planning on taking possession of the new member of the SGC. Apparently since Dawn was suddenly hired from obscurity they want to know why. That and she can be used as blackmail against a Jack O'Neill.'

"Thanks for the heads up Riley, but she was taken earlier tonight."

'Shoot. Need our help?'

"No, I think we can use the local grunts. Thanks for looking out for her."

'Anytime. She's a good kid. Call if you need us.'

"Bye Riley" Refolding the phone Buffy looked at the group of people who hadn't heard Riley's side of the conversation. "Guess who has Dawn this time."

"The demon of the week wanting an uprising?"

"Someone who wants a showdown with The Slayer Buffy?"

"Nope some of their enemies."

"That's new."

The Scoobies and slayers looked at SG-1, who in turn felt like children who had their hands caught in the cookie jar.
