Want a job?

“Colonel O’Neill. How was your mission and who did you bring back with you today?” The General, waiting patiently at the base of the ramp, asked the returning team.

“Got chained to a wall. The kid flexed some muscle, called a friend. We got the treaty. How was your day General?”

“The usual SG-1 comes back with wither injuries or strays. How were the treaty negotiations?” Knowing he would get the watered down version in a report, that is if Jack ever turned one in, he asked for what the President would want to know over the phone later.

“The kid here translated. When ever the villagers started getting grumpy Fire Shamaness over there floated things. They got us an excellent deal. As long as we leave the village alone and clean up after our selves we can mine for Trinium and what ever else that Carter has found.” Jack reported as he watched the girls look at everything that was in the gate room.

“Getting anything from the gate Will?” Dawn asked from Willow’s side, having made a circuit around the room.

“It feels like a mature version of the magic from Illyria.” Willow’s hair was slightly waving in a nonexistent breeze. The General walked up to where she was clutching the base of the Stargate. His attempt to introduce himself to Willow was interrupted by a cell phones’ ring. After deciphering the displayed message Willow sighed and returned the device to her pocket.

“Who is it, Will?”

“Xander, his signal says that his date’s about to eat him. I’d better go.”

“Maybe we should see about putting him into a monastery. Bye Will.” Dawn chuckled at the shocked faces that Willow’s departure left behind. “Today was fun. Can I stay and work here?”

“Yeah, General can we keep her?”

“If you promise not to bring home any one else for a month you can, if she agrees. Miss Summers, would you like to work at Stargate Command?

“Absolutely, as long as I don’t have to join the military.” Dawn was nearly bouncing from excitement. “Can I use a phone to try and find a place to stay tonight?”

“You could stay with one of us kid. Wait a sec that would probably be me. Danny and Carter will camp out in their labs, and T lives on base. You could stay in my spare bedroom if you want.” Copying her bouncing Jack invited Dawn into his home.

“Sure that would be great. Thanks Jack.”

Watching his team leave with their newest addition Hammond whispered to his self “Chained to a wall. Only they would.”
