Summary: Part of the Buffy Z multiverse. Reimagining of the 8th Dragonball Z movie. The Legendary Super Saiyan is destroying the South Galaxy. Vegeta is requested to defeat him, the other Z warriors go along.

Author's Notes: Well, here is the second one! Dragonball Z movie 8 the reimagining.
All right, here it is then. One more, and we're up to speed when it comes to what happened in the Dragonball dimension, and then we can start on episode 16 of Buffy Z! I wrote this fairly quickly, using the movie as a template. It is very much the same (movie 7 had greater differences with the original) but there are some pivotal differences, most notably is the absence of the disavowing of there own Super Saiyan status and Brolli being automatically the Legendary Super Saiyan. Enjoy!

Spoiler alerts: You might get spoiled for the eighth Dragonball Z movie reading this. There are some different things though. If you're interested in only the aspects of Buffy Z and don't want to be spoiled, read act one up intil the moment the ship appears.

PROLOGUE: DESTRUCTION



FADE IN:



EXT. A CIRCLING SPIRAL GALAXY



The black emptiness of space, sports only a large spiraling

galaxy. Suddenly in a lower corner there is a blink of

light that outshines the galaxy and as it fades a formerly

visible nebula is gone. It happens again and a blot of

light, a shiny beacon of life blinks out. Now in rapid

succession the lower quarter of the galaxy starts blinking

out, each and every light home to potentially billions of

life forms.



CUT TO:



EXT. SNAKE WAY - THE OTHER WORLD -- CONTINUOUS



Goku and King Kai hurry along the road built like a snake.

On their way from the remains of the Kai's former planet,

nothing more but a pile of rubble now, destroyed as the

monster Cell blew itself up, to the Grand Kai's planet,

and meet anyone there, since they didn't have anything

else to do. Suddenly the small, blue, antennaed Kai stops

in his tracks and looks to his right, before turning fully

in that direction. Goku, by now a kilometer further,

suddenly stops in his tracks as he notices the Kai is

missing. He hurries back and looks at the stricken Kai.



GOKU

Uh, King Kai? Why are you stopping?



KING KAI

Hold my shoulder, and you can see.



Goku does as the Kai suggests and moments later his eyes

open with dread as he sees the South Galaxy slowly being

consumed by whatever terrible power. Moments later a female

psychic impression of raw terror, helplessness and useless

anger impresses on the two.



SOUTH KAI (V.O.)

(psychically)

My beautiful galaxy! No! What is

there to do?



GOKU

(stricken)

Who is that?

KING KAI

(sadly)

That is the South Kai, Goku. I

look over the North Galaxy, the

same we she looks over the South

Galaxy, the galaxy you are seeing

being destroyed.



Goku looks around in helplessness, eager to do something,

to fight whatever is causing it.



GOKU

(angry and frustrated)

Who could do such a thing?



King Kai stands in dread for a few moments before answering.



KING KAI

(sadly)

There are only a few beings who

have such power, Goku. Frieza could

destroy world after world like

that, the androids and Cell could,

and of course... A Super Saiyan

can.



GOKU

(pained)

I sense Saiyan ki.



Kai nods, biting his tongue with frustration.



GOKU (CONT'D)

(ready for a fight)

What can we do? What can we do?



King Kai stays silent for only a moment, as if he is

reluctantly accepting that he really is right on the

subject.



KING KAI

(defeated)

We're dead Goku; there is nothing

we can do... except hope for the

best.
