All Around the Town

All Around the Town

Ten minutes later, Buffy and Faith emerged. They were no longer wearing their pajamas. They actually looked quite similar. Both girls had left their hair loose, and were wearing leather pants. Faith in black, and Buffy in blood red. Their tops were the same too. Sleeveless tank tops. Buffy in black, and Faith in blood red. Faith had a stake in her boot, Buffy had a knife. Faith was carrying a sword, a crossbow, and an ax. Buffy was carrying a black cloth bag, two daggers, and a familiar looking wooden case.

“Look alive.” Faith threw Xander the ax, and Willow the sword.

Buffy emptied the contents of the black bag. Eight small vials tumbled out.

“Holy water.” Willow clarified, helping herself to two. Xander also took two, and everyone else took one.

Willow stopped examining her sword and closed her eyes. There was a resonating hum in the room. She knew that everyone but Xander, being nonmagical, felt it.

All eyes turned to Buffy. The case was lying flat in front of her. One by one, she clicked open the latches. She closed her eyes and opened the case. There was a collective gasp in the room. This time everyone could feel the power radiating from it.

“My baby.” Buffy crooned.

She removed her scythe from its case and held it in front of her. Faith sat in front of her and grasped it too. The two girls sat like that, facing each other, linked by that scythe, for a couple of minutes.

“It’s a Slayer thing.” Xander said, tossing Remus and Draco each a dagger.

“Let’s go.” Buffy said.

“Go where?” Remus asked.

“Willow?”

“Got it. Let’s go.”

“Buffy.”

They all turned at her name. Harry was standing there, obviously in awe of them all.

“You need to come to Hogwarts. We’ve got. Well we’ve got something you should see.”

“Giles?”

“Yeah.”

“I know.”

“Then come on.”

Buffy shook her head, and before the words even came out, Faith knew what she was going to say.

“Can’t.”

“Why?”

“Got a war to fight.”

“What?”

“You mess with my sister and I’ll kick your ass. But.”

“But?”

“But there has been a slight change in plans. We’re going to have to postpone the ass-kicking.”

“Buffy!” Faith whined.

“You and Remus are going to round up all the Slayers you can.”

“Slayers?” Remus asked. “

“I’ll tell you about it on the way. To Cleveland!” Faith yelled, and the two apparated out.

“But really. Slayers? There’s more than one?”

“It’s a long story.” Buffy said.

“The First Evil came to town trying to end the Slayer line. It was killing all the potentials and was out for Faith and Buffy. Yada yada yada, Willow activated all the Potentials and they all became Slayers. Closed the hellmouth, blew up Sunnydale, moved to Cleveland, and located all the slayers.”

“Not that long” Willow snickered at Xander’s condensation of the tale.

Buffy shook her head. “Harry, you are going back to Hogwarts and telling Dumbledore that the vamps have taken my sister. Willow and Xander, you’re going to do a locating spell and find her. Don’t go to her. Just find her. And do a spell. We can’t let them bleed her.”

“Got it.”

“And me?” Buffy just stared at Draco.

“You’re coming with me,”

“And where would that be?”

“To find something to kill.” Willow said.

Buffy grabbed Draco’s arm and pulled him toward the door.

Just then the doorbell rang, and Draco opened it to reveal a hobo dressed in rags, huddled on the ground.

“Alms. Alms please.”

“Arms?” Willow asked.

“You’ve already got arms. It’s money you need.” Xander said. *

“err. Sorry.” Draco said and shut the door on him.

“Well that was…odd.” Buffy said.

“Got it.”

“Already? I didn’t even get to fight anything.” Buffy whined.

Willow shot her a look and handed her the book.

“Auto-Heal. A spell to prevent the bloodshed of any major or minor cuts. Is useless if appendage is completely severed from torso. Any cuts will automatically heal, and no blood will be spilled.” Buffy read.

“Cool. What do we need?” Xander asked.

“Well, we’ve got everything we need. We just need some of Dawn’s blood.” Willow bit her lip.

“What about my blood? The portal couldn’t tell the difference.” Willow considered.

“That should do it. But it’ll probably work for both you and Dawn.”

“Added bonus.” Buffy said.

“Anything else?”

“We’ll need some skin from an agnostic demon.”

“What’s that?” Buffy cut her off.

“A demon that can tell your future from when you can sing. Lorne?”

“Sure.” Buffy sighed. “Is that it?”

“Yah.”

“Okay. You and Xander can start preparing the spell.

“And we…” She latched onto Draco’s arm and took a deep breath. “are going to see Angel.”

“An angel?”

“Don’t ask questions. To LA!” And they were gone.

~~~~LA, Angel Investigations~~~~~
Employees and clients screamed and scattered when two people, one being a very menacing blonde with a very large weapon, suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
“What’s all they hubbub about?” Lorne appeared.
“Buffy darling. This angry look is so not you. And who is this?”
““HiLornenicetoseeyouthisisDracoDawn’sbeenkidnappedandIneedyourhelp.”*
“Whoa kitten slow down.”
“Dawn’s been kidnapped and we need your help.”
“My help? Sure.”
“You’re an diagnostic demon right?”
“I’m an agnostic demon, yes.”
“Yah that. Well we need a HUGE favor.”
“Sure Kitten.
“We need some of your skin.”
“What?” He looked horrified.
“Willow’s doing a spell to protect Dawn and we need the skin of an agnostic demon.”
“well sure as long as it’s not too much and it won’t hurt.”
“Don’t worry. I can make it not hurt.” Draco volunteered
He uttered a spell and Buffy cut off a bit of skin.
“Glad I could help. Back to work! Nothing to see here!”
“Thanks Lorne.”
“Do you want to see Angel?”
“Not really.”
“Okay then.”
Buffy and Draco apparated away.
“Angel-pie.”
He opened the door. “What.”
“She was here.”
“I could smell her.”
“Why didn’t you come out?”
“I did. She didn’t see me.” He sighed. “That man was her boyfriend.”
“How do you know?”
“The way he looked at her and the way she looked at him.” He looked at the ground. “I used to know that look.” He went back into his office and shut the door.
“Well then.” Lorne peered at his arm.
“Kind of tingly.” He muttered.
Xander uttered a small shriek when Buffy and Draco emerged with a piece of scaly green skin.
“Got it.”
“Cool.” Willow didn’t look up from her position on the ground, assembling ingredients.
“All we need now is your blood. And you’re going to have to drink this. But I’ve got a theory that you and Dawn are magically linked, just like you and Faith. So when you drink it, it should work for Dawn.”
Ten minutes later, the potion had everything except Buffy’s blood.
“Just a few drops of your blood should do it.” Willow held out a needle. Instead, Buffy turned to Draco, took his dagger and slit open her wrist.
“Or you could do it that way.” Willow ladled it out into a styro-foam cup.
“Drink up.”
Buffy grimaced and downed the contents of the cup.
“Well?” She asked.
Xander pointed to Buffy’s wrist.
“Cool.” Buffy said, running her fingers over the new skin. “It’s kind of tingly.” She muttered…
BUFFY!!” Faith’s voice echoed around all of them and the doorbell was ringing frantically.
Buffy threw open the door to Faith and Kennedy’s smiling faces. “Hi.” Faith greeted her brightly.
“Um. Hi.” Buffy replied.
“Kennedy!” Willow screeched and ran into her girlfriend’s arms.
“Observe B. The cavalry.” Faith, Kennedy, and Willow moved out of the way to reveal a whole lot of girls stretched out on the lawn.
“How many?”
“A little over 50.”
“Think it’s enough?”
“It’ll be more than enough Buffy. You took him on before without any of them.” Willow volunteered.
“I suppose you’re right.” Buffy smiled weakly.
“But Faith…where are we going to put them all?”
“Uh. Didn’t think that through.”
“Okay. I’ve got an idea. Willow and Kennedy, you get them all inside the house, and KEEP them here, and me, Faith, and Draco are going to visit Giles and make a plan.
“What about me?”
“Well you can’t see it.” Draco explained.
“Muggles can’t see Hogwarts.”
“Why don’t we take them all to Hogwarts? It’s immensely safe, and I highly doubt that Slayers are Muggles.”
“Sure.” Willow said.
“Willow! Where did they go?” Buffy asked.
Willow held up a tiny snowglobe. “Look at all the tiny slayers Buffy.”
“Oh my god! Draco hurry up!”
