They all gathered in the Great Hall after obtaining Dumbledore’s permission and Willow had apologized profusely to the Slayers.

Buffy, Faith, Willow, Kennedy, and Draco were gathered around Giles’ hospital bed.

“God. I hate hospitals.” Faith shuddered.

“Can’t say I blame you.” Buffy agreed.

“Girls.”

“What’s the what Giles? Got a plan?”

“Yes actually.”

“Cool.”

“Alright. We use Buffy’s blood to scry for Dawn. Then, we send about half of the Slayers, not including Faith or Buffy or Kennedy, to rescue Dawn. We get her back here safely, then send the remaining Slayers to Buffy and Faith and Kennedy.”

“Where will we be?” Faith asked.

Suddenly it dawned on Buffy. “In er…on Sunnydale. Stopping the Master.”

“Good job.”

“One problem Giles.”

“What’s that?”

“Well, I did a binding spell on Dawn using Buffy’s blood, so neither of them can shed blood.”

“Not a problem. You just need something personal of Dawn’s.”

“Okay.” Willow brightened.

Draco volunteered to take Willow back and get something.

Buffy, Faith, and Kennedy went out to the Great Hall.

After explaining the situation the Slayers and getting volunteers for each respective task, Willow and Draco had returned. Willow, with the help of Draco and Harry, had managed to successfully find Dawn. Surprisingly enough, she was in LA.

“LA?” Buffy asked. “She’s in LA?”

“Yeah. Why?”

“Well, couldn’t we just have Angel rescue the mini-Slay and we can get more Slayers out with Buffy and the Master?” Faith asked.

“Because. Because. Because!” Buffy said… “Fine.” She relented.

“All right then. I’ll go.” Faith volunteered. She looked around, and her vision stopped on Harry.

“Okay. You gals go ambush the Master.” She and Harry popped away.

The employees and clients at Angel Investigations in LA were starting to get tired of the strange people popping in and out at all hours of the day.

Harry just stood there, blinking around and standing there, while Faith sauntered around the hallway as if she had been there all her life.

“Hello?” Is anyone out there?” Faith wandered around, poking her head into random doors and calling out.

“Are you sure you should be doing that?” Harry asked

“It’s the most effective way to do business. HELLO?” Faith kept calling out.

“Uh Faith.” Harry tried to get her attention.

Faith whirled around and walked right into a tall, dark, handsome, brooding man-like object.

“Hello Faith.”

“Angel. Buddy. Need a favor.”

He raised an eyebrow.

“Do you know about Dawn?”

“Roughly. Lorne told me.”

“Oh. So B didn’t come see you.”

He looked at the ground. “No. What do you want Faith?”

“Well. We found out exactly where they’re keeping Dawn and we decided that YOU can rescue her while Buffy and all her Slay-gal friends are killing the Master and all HIS vamp-freak friends. Isn’t that fun?” She smiled as big as she could and fluttered her eyelashes.

He ran his fingers through his hairs and sighed.

“Faith.”

“Angel PLEASE” She begged.

“Well.”

“Angel it won’t be that hard. Come on they’re keeping her in a DUNGEON. You can’t let her suffer like that. Angel come on.”

“Alright.”

“Yay!” Faith squealed, jumping up and down, acting very unlike herself. Angel and Harry just looked at her like she was crazy.

“What?” She shrugged. “Do you know how long it’s been since I killed something?”

“Geez.” She crossed her arms.

Angel just shook his head and walked into his office, Faith and Harry on his heels.

“Okay. Let’s make a plan.”

“Why?” Faith asked.

Harry blinked at her.

“We know where she is. We go. We kill. We rescue. We leave. Very simple.”

She shrugged and Angel shook his head again.

“No Faith. No.”

“Yes.” She pushed a slip of paper in front of him. “This is where Dawn is. If we’re lucky the spell worked, and they can’t bleed her. But you know how often we’re lucky. So let’s go.” She stood up and wandered over to Angel’s weapons cabinet.

He sighed again and he seemed to see Harry for the very first time. He blinked.

“Er…hello there.” Harry stuttered, feeling uncomfortable under Angel’s unblinking gaze.

“Very important.” Angel shook his head and blinked.

“Who are you?”

“Angel.” Faith’s voice floated over.

“What?”

“Where’d you get this?” Faith ran her hand over the glass and Harry flinched at her voice. It was cold and unfeeling.

“Um.” Angel thought. “Which one?” He stood.

“Angel.” Faith practically growled, her nails scratching the glass.

“Oh. That one.” Angel looked at the ground. “Well, Buffy sent it to me. I must have forgotten about it.”

“I want it.” Faith’s voice had softened considerably.

“Faith. I just can’t loan weapons out like that.”

“Angel.” She turned to him, a cold glimmer in her eye.

“You cannot loan a weapon out to its owner. And I don’t want you to loan it to me. I want IT.” She stepped forward, daring him to tell her no.

He stepped back in spite of himself.

“That knife in your case is mine. And I want it back. Now you can either give it to me or I can take it.” She stepped forward again, her hands threatening to strangle him.

Angel stared back and to Harry, it seemed like it would never end.

But Angel took some keys from his pocket and opened the weapons case. Instantly Harry was overwhelmed by the power radiating from some of them.

Angel seemed to understand and explained. “The glass is charmed. Normal glass would have shattered from the power a long time ago.”

Faith pushed him out of the way and strode over to the weapons. She took out a small, intricately designed knife. Harry watched the way she handled it with awe. She seemed frozen in time. She held it up to the light, and then brought it downward. She lifted up her shirt so that both Harry and Angel could see the distinct scar. She touched the tip of the blade to herself, and it seemed like she would cut herself. But the scar instantly faded and Faith opened her eyes, which Harry had never noticed were closed.

Angel let out an audible gasp.

“Wonder what told me to do that.” Faith muttered. She shook her head and turned back to Angel.

“So we going to go rescue Dawn or what?”

“Sure.” Angel said.

_____

Angel growled.

“What is it?” Faith asked.

“Vampires.”

“Well duh.” Faith rolled her eyes.

“Quiet.” Harry hushed her.

Suddenly Faith hissed.

“What?”

“Stubbed my toe.”

“Can’t you people see in the dark?” Angel asked.

She just glared.

Harry rolled his eyes and lit his wand.

Angel stared.

“Wizard”, Harry explained.

“Ah.” He said

The trio continued through the dark tunnels. Angel put up his hand to stop the others.

He morphed into game face, which startled Harry a bit.

“Vampire.” Faith explained.

“Hmm.” He mused.

Angel stepped out of the shadows into clear view of the other vampires.

“So where’s the party?”

He immediately punched the vampire closest to him.

“Rescue Dawn.” Faith whispered into Harry’s ear and crawled out of the tunnel.

A vampire on the ground sprang to his feet. “Slayer.”

“Slayee.”

Faith pulled out a stake from her jacket and staked the vampire who had spoken.

Faith gestured emphatically with her arms and Harry sprang into motion quickly. He ran over to the unconscious Dawn and cut her bindings with his wand.

“Dawn?” “DAWN?” He asked, shaking her.

“mmm.” She muttered.

“Are you okay?”

Unable to speak, she nodded her head.

“Good.” Harry smiled and hoisted her over his head.

He ran back to the tunnel and set her down lightly.

“Is she okay?” Harry looked up to see both Faith and Angel standing over her.

“Yah.” He said quietly.

“Angel?”

“Yah.”

“Nothing.” Dawn murmured.

Angel carried her in his arms, and the four of them apparated back to Angel Investigations.

“Okay Angel. You got this right?”

“Yeah.”

Faith turned to Harry and they prepared to apparate to Sunnydale.

“Faith.” Angel’s voice stopped her.

“Yes?”

“Tell her. Ask her about the cookies.”

“What?”

“Ask her if they’re done yet.” His eyes held a faraway look.

“Sure Angel.” Faith looked hesitantly at Harry and they were gone.

~~~~~Meanwhile…~~~~~~~
After Harry and Faith had popped away to LA, Buffy turned around to face her troops.
She stepped back up to the podium and spoke to them. A few words that touched their hearts and readied their minds. Those girls were ready to fight. They were ready to give their lives…all under Buffy’s lead.
“Any questions?”
A single hand rose confidentially into the air. Buffy recognized it immediately and smiled, knowing the question that was coming. She acknowledged the girl with a slight nod of her head and a barely concealed smile.
“Can we leave now?
