Buffy and Giles sat in the back of the large conference hall, partially listening to the speaker at the front of the room.

"Why does he look familiar?" Buffy indicated the speaker, to whom Giles turned his attention.

"Mr. Langdon? He was involved in the Vatican Incident last year. You've probably seen him on the news."

"And you're sure no one's approached him about the Watcher's Council before?"

"Not that I know of. Though considering his background, I'm quite surprised myself." Giles paused. "Why do you ask?"

Buffy narrowed her eyes at the man's Harris Tweed jacket. "Oh no reason."
