Author's Note: Queenzulu's prompt #2 - "Well, I still thought of you." - on the Faith_Slash LJ. Also, I refuse to accept any version where Mina is not the head of the League. Of course she's the leader. What other way could it be?

Faith never told anyone about the weeks after her Watcher's death, when she had been found, beaten almost to death. She never mentioned the woman who saved her.

Now, with the Council destroyed, Mina had come to offer the strength of this generation's League.

"You never said goodbye." Faith hated the slight tremor in her voice.

Mina shrugged slightly. "You had a great destiny awaiting. Slayers don't befriend vampires; It's not done."

"Befriend?" Faith snorted. "Nah, 'round here they just fuck them."

Mina gave no sign of surprise. "It was the right choice, Faith."

"Well, I still thought of you."

END.
