Anita stood unseen at the open door. She watched as red tears ran unashamedly down Jean Claude face. She didn’t make a sound, but he seems to know she was there.



“Come in ma petite.”


She hesitate a moment. “What is it,” she asked concerned, walking towards him.


He gestures to an open paper on the desk.


“May I?” she asked curiosity getting the better of her.


He nodded silently.


She picks it up; it was a letter from a lawyer telling him that a Joyce Summers had died. “Who is Joyce Summers?”


“Someone I loved a long, long time ago,” Jean-Claude said quietly, turning his gaze towards the wall.
