Title: Taking a Chance

Author: Deanie

Rating: PG

Type: Double Drabble

Genre: Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Charmed (Xander/Paige)

Timing: This story occurs after Buffy’s seventh season, and basically, anytime from season 4 on for Charmed.

Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own these characters. Xander belongs to Joss Whedon and Mutant Enemy. Paige and the Charmed Ones belong to Aaron Spelling.

There was a red-headed witch staring at his ass – and this time it wasn’t his good buddy Willow. Instead, it was Ms. Paige Matthews, a sexy San Fransiscan who had recently hired him to do some repairs on the historic house she shared with her sisters.

Xander surveyed the shattered window of what had previously been the living room. Half the furniture was broken – heaven only knew how the couch survived the devastation in one piece. Had to be demons. After years of living on the Hellmouth, he knew demonic destruction when he saw it. Which was also how he knew she was a witch. She hadn’t come right out and admitted it, but it was obvious from the paraphernalia the girls kept laying around the house. Candles, roots, herbs…even something that suspiciously looked like eye of newt.

All of which he’d noted covertly, of course. Wouldn’t do to be caught spying on his sexy new client, especially when he wasn’t sure if she were a good witch. One wrong move and he might be hexed into the next century.

Still, she was cute and he was single. Even for a ‘demon magnet,’ it might be worth taking a chance…
