Dawn enter the dorm room, her hands full of boxes. "Come on Buffy, a little help here? I can't even see if my room mate's claimed a side already, let alone where a bed is!" she whined. Suddenly, some one who wasn't Buffy took a few of Dawn's boxes.

"Hi! I'm your roommate, my name's Cassandra, but my friends all call me Cassie, call me which ever you want." The mystery person said cheerfully, a big grin on her freckle covered face.

"Hi, I'm Dawn." Dawn replied, setting the boxes down on the empty bed, the other one was occupied by Cassie's stuff and a some what graying man in an Air Force uniform. "This is my older sister Buffy."

"Oh, didn’t see you there," Casssie said taking some of Buffy's boxes as well. "That's Jack, my godfather, He was just leaving, wasn't he, has to get back to the base, it can't run without its General can it?" she said, giving Jack a not so subtle clue that it was time for him to leave.

"All right Cass, all right, I'm going, I'm going, just give me hug, I'll call you later," he said getting up, "I probably should be getting back, it's probably a down right mess without me there to make sure that Carter leaves her lab, and that the Marines don't cause a food fight again."

Cassie gave him a hug and he left.

"So where are you from?" Cassie asked,.

"California, LAish," Dawn replied.

"Sweet!"
