Giles raised an eyebrow. “You said it yourself, Dr. Walsh.”

Maggie Walsh just wanted this … this … ivory tower academic to go away. “Excuse me?”

“You call your prisoners ‘Hostile Sub-Terrestrials.’ Is this correct?”

“Yes.”

“Then surely you have considered the terms you use. ‘Hostile Sub Terrestrials’ implies ‘Beneficent Super Terrestrials,’ does it not?”

Maggie was staring at him. “You – you don’t … you can’t mean … angels?”

Buffy was as shocked as everyone else in the room. “We’ve never met an actual angel, have we?”

“‘Angel’ means ‘messenger,’” Giles said. “There are many who wish to help, Buffy.”
