Buffy stretched as she got out of bed. Pulling on her robe, she thought about where her life was now. Since defeating the First, she had basically retired. The first years afterward were hectic, reestablishing the Council, taking care of Dawn, etc. But now that was over and she could relax.

She had just moved in with her current boyfriend. He was a bounty hunter, and occasionally appeared more predatory than his cowboy charm would make you believe. That was fine. She still patrolled sometimes.

The smell of bacon wafted upstairs, and she smiled. Buffy really liked life with Ted.
