Disclaimer: I don't own Isabel or Oz, I'm just borrowing them for a while.
Summary: She was hanging from a cliff
Isabel finished the explanation she had promised him and waited nervously for his reaction. Once again she was trusting the secrets of her life to another friend, one she hoped wouldn't fear her or leave her like Jesse had. Since he had arrived in Roswell six months before she had come to depend on Oz's steady presence in her life of chaos. The young man with the currently blue hair had become her rock, the person she could always count on. She treasured his presence in her life too much to risk it, so she never would have told him about her alien heritage if he hadn't witnessed too much to be explained away with a lie. And she didn't want to lie to him. He was always able to tell and she didn't want to see the disappointment in his eyes. So she had gathered her courage and told him everything.
Now she waited, heart pounding and tension vibrating throughout her body for his reaction. Would he hate her? Would he fear her? Would he run and leave a giant Oz shaped hole in her life? She didn't think she could bear that. She was hanging on the edge of a cliff, waiting to see if she would fall from its heights or be offered a lifeline.
When he spoke, it was a relief.
"Huh, aliens. That's new," Oz mused.
