The only difference was that Seth didn’t smell like death. He didn’t reek of the death, destruction, and hate of the hellmouth.

He understood kids who lash out and fall in with the wrong people. He knows what it’s like to love one.

And even though the situations are oh so similar

Because she’s come to realize that her blonde is incapable of loving anyone who doesn’t torture her in some way and that’s just not Faith’s gig anymore.

They aren’t in love, but they’re happy enough, dark heads leaned together as they sit in the sand and watch the sun set over the ocean with thoughts of golden hair flickering through both their minds.
