She hated herself. She was tempted to go with Dawn considering it may be the last option she had of returning to her rightful place but at the same time she wanted to stay with the crew of Serenity. She had begun to think of them as family just like the Scoobies had been. And because of the confusing in her mind she hated herself.

She had seen Kaylee’s face before and saw the anger in it. Maybe Kaylee would be better off without her. But then she had thought that about Tara… and she hadn’t been. Which ever way she did it, she knew she would end up hurting someone and she hated to hurt anyone. Looking at Dawn, she weighed up the options left.
