“I don’t need your help,” Blade said with a sneer.

Cordelia glared at the tall, well-built vampire hunter.

“Well, apparently the PTB disagree with you.”

“The what?”

Cordelia rolled her eyes. “The Powers that Be? The ones who made me go all visoney about you being killed horribly by vampires?”

“And you think you’re going to save me, little girl?” he asked with a raised eyebrow.

“I’m going to try.”

Blade sighed and pushed past her.

Cordelia grabbed her bag of stakes and hurried along behind him, muttering, “Of course, with your attitude I’m not going to try that hard.”
