Summary: Prompt #006 Blood for tth100_2. Claim: Buffy/AB. This is set in the same universe as the previous parts in this series, though there’s no real reading order to them.

“You’ve been bitten before, Elizabeth,” Jean-Claude said staring at her neck. “Who was it?”

His hand gently tilted her head baring her neck to him as his head lowered, presumably to view the scars better, but she knew it was more to make Anita jealous.

He needed the blood, unfortunately the only people who were not wounded or out of consideration were Anita and herself. There weren’t many lines Anita hadn’t crossed yet and this was one of them. It was a line she was clinging to with all her might and Buffy couldn’t blame her.

Donating blood wasn’t as big a deal to Buffy. She had willingly done the same for Angel and once for Spike after Glory had beaten him to within an inch of his undead life. Jean-Claude needed to be at full strength tonight and if she had to donate a little blood to do it, well then so be it. What she wasn’t going to tolerate was Jean-Claude’s games.

Yeah, he had a big old yen to get Anita to let him bite her, but this wasn’t going to convince her to do it. Buffy had no interest in Jean-Claude, sure he was sex on the hoof, but she wanted no relationship with him and she wasn’t going to have him ruining her friendship with Anita by making Anita think otherwise.

“You may be a master vampire,” Buffy said to him, “but you’re still a man and thus prone to bouts of idiocy. Either chow down and get it over with or go hungry, but quit playing your games, unless you really want Anita to shoot you.” She lowered her voice to a level only he and she would hear and whispered quietly, “If you really want Anita to share blood with you someday this is not the way to go about it.”

Jean-Claude’s eyes flicked to hers and then to a quietly simmering Anita. He sighed. “You are right, though it pains me to admit it. Perhaps you could advise me on a wiser approach.”

“Later,” Buffy promised. “Now’s not the time. Besides you’re going to have some hefty groveling to do first.”

Jean-Claude winced, but a glance at Anita proved that Elizabeth was right on this matter as well. “Business first then.” With that, Jean-Claude lowered his lips to Buffy’s neck and let his fangs pierce her flesh.
