Summary: They called her the Goodbye Summers.

Spoilers: None whatsoever. This takes place after season seven of BtVS, and anywhere for Stargate.

They called her the Goodbye Summers because she always left. The first time they had seen her, she had come up to Daniel on the street and warned him about an apocalypse.

Since then, she would come and go, giving advice and warnings.

At the beginning, she was only seen once every few months, but as the years went by, it seemed almost as if she was growing attached to them. She began showing herself a few times a month, lending an ear when needed, a word when none would come, and encouragement when it felt like nothing would ever be good again.

Even though the way she chose to interact with them was crazy, she was the only sane thing in Jack's life.

To Teal'c, she was a warrior, someone who understood the hardships and pains fighting brought.

To Sam, she was a friend, the kind of friend who knew about the hurt love could bring.

For Daniel, she was a shoulder to lean on, someone to look up to when things were tough.

And for Jack, she was the girl who made him smile. In a world where nothing made sense, she was there, a constant pillar of support, if only for a few moments.

But since she was the Goodbye Summers, Jack pushed aside his feelings for her, buried them deep so no one would see, and went to work with a smile.

Because Buffy Summers was the Goodbye Summers, and they called her the Goodbye Summers because she always left.
