Review of chapter "Chapter Nine: Dead Man's Party" from linny
Review:
This is a really interesting take on the LotR/BtVS crossover genre. The plot's original, and obviously well thought, but sometimes I find it a little difficult to follow. There are so many details, I find it difficult to keep track of everything that is going on. Kudos for being an original, and seeing how you can break the cliched storyline for a popular crossover genre.
Comments from author:
Thanks for your comments! Sorry to hear that you're having a hard time following the story. I really hate to hear that. I am a writer who firmly believes in the (2) D's: details and dialogue. So, I really don't know how to address your comments regarding too many details...

I do appreciate you taking the time to submit a review and thanks for your comments regarding the originality of my story.

Cheers!

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight: Who Are You?" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
Interesting chapter. I particularly liked Salmar playing the Ulumúri (or a version thereof). I'm glad to see that you're setting this back in time, rather than going AU and saying Middle Earth is an alternate dimension, and it's an interesting idea that Buffy may be one of the Ainur. I'm lookging forward to the revelation of some of these "secrets". :-)

Question: is there a specific reason you're using "fey" as the word for "spirit", rather than the Sindarin "faer" or Quenya "fëa"?
Comments from author:
Thanks for your comments. Yes, Salmar was playing the Ulumuri (sorry, too lazy to use the accent symbol)! I refuse to go AU as I don't feel there's a need for it. I like Middle-earth just the way it is. Hopefully, you'll like what is coming in future chapters, but then again...

The spelling of 'fey' is intentional. I guess it's the only thing of Tolkiens that I've changed, but there's a reason for it but it won't be revealed until much later in the tale. ;)

All will be revealed, I promise! No question will be left unanswered by the end of this saga.

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight: Who Are You?" from Sousake
Review:
Wonderful work, I'm really enjoying this. The Silmarrilion is my favorite book and its nice to see someone produce a really interesting fic from it. I've had a crack at one myself but your much better at it than me. I look forward to the next chapter. I only wonder how you intend to keep Buffy in Beleriand and get her involved in the major events. After all, the timeline is much longer than LOTR. Rather than 1 year its based over several hunderd.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much for your kind words! I've spent 2 years working on this story and yes, I will have Buffy involved in EVERY major war that took place during the 1st age, plus some others that are of my own creation. Can't say any more than that. My story with span the entire 400+ years up to the War of Wrath. As far as how I'm going to do that, well, I guess you'll just have to read it to find out! (he-he). Originally, I was going to do a 3 part series to cover all 3 ages of Middle-earth, but unfortunately the fan base just isn't there to justify me going beyond the 1st age. (grumble, grumble) Hope you continue to read it.

Thanks again for the review. It is most definitely appreciated!

Review of chapter "Chapter Seven: This Year's Girl" from vampygal
Review:
Good story! I'm really enjoying reading it. Even though I'm not that familiar with this period of Middle Earth, it's been easy to follow the characters of Middle Earth. I also like the long and frequent updates :)
Comments from author:
So happy to hear that your enjoying it. I already have 17 chapters written, that's why I've been updating quickly. Normally it takes me about 10 days to write one and every chapter will have a minimum of 10 pages. Thanks again for your review!

Cheers!

Review of chapter "Chapter Three: Welcome To The Hellmouth" from Wise
Review:
I'm not sure if you're intentionally Buffy-bashing or not, but the way she's acting here is incredibly mean and petty. O_o
Comments from author:
Hmm, I really don't understand what your saying with your comment... Mean and petty? Where do you get that from? I would like my readers to understand that Buffy is still pissed about the incident that took place in 'Empty Places'. C'mon the Scoobies kicked her out of her own house, there's got to be ramifications! Also, if I recall correctly, there was an episode entitled, 'When She Was Bad,' does that ring a bell? Buffy is not always the sweet, innocent, righteous girl that she thinks she is. But I'm still curious as to what your comments are referring to. Please feel free to email me as I would be more than happy to discuss any aspects of this story with you.

Review of chapter "Chapter Five: Into The Woods" from JennyLal
Review:
I'm enjoying this so far. Not very familiar with The Silmarillion though. Hope I can keep up!
Comments from author:
Glad you like it. I have this fic posted on a few sites and there are several people who are reading it who are not familiar with the Silmarillion either. I've tried to give additional info regarding people and places in case the reader is not familiar with them. So, you should have no problem keeping up! In fact, if you continue reading it, you will start recognizing more and more things from the Buffy/Angel universe. Should you need anything explained or if you don't understand something, please feel free to email me, and I'll be more than happy to explain and/or answer any questions you may have.

Cheers!

Review of chapter "Chapter Two: Family" from aforestgrew
Review:
Yay! I'm so glad you decided to post your fic here on TtH. (I was the one who reviewed you on FF.net telling you that you should!) I love everything about this fic, from the fact that it's set in the Silmarillion instead of Lord of the Rings, to how well it's written. I can't even complain about long waits for new chapters because you update so regularly! Please keep writing so well, cause if you do I'll give you cookies!
Comments from author:
Thanks! But I'd rather have reviews than cookies! (ha-ha). I hope my fic's well recieved here and thanks a lot for telling me about this site. Maybe the people here will be more apt to review than over at FF.net, that's what I hope any way. Stay tuned because the ride hasn't even started yet!
