Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty" from bucksavage
Review:
Damn that was real rather good. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect as I didn't watch the original BSG or more than 5 minutes of the new BSG, but I saw enough to know some of the characters and stuff. This was surprisingly good, the characterizations seem to be well thought out, you have Xander being Xander, even if it is Xander in space, it's not uber!Xander, which is refreshing. All in all, one hell of a fine story!

Review:
finally got around to finishing reading this. (was not really a priority since ive never been that big a fan of BSG in the first place, only reason why i read it at all being because i liked your halo series). But correct me if im wrong, in an AN you explicitly stated that the sequel would NOT be a Dr. Who cross, yet the next one is listed as a Dr. Who/Torchwood cross? which actually makes me leery of reading the sequel, since the one episode of dr. who i ever actually watched bored the hell out of me. ill give it a shot though.
this was a good story overall though
Comments from author:
The sequel was going to bring in Stargate as the third crossover, but after giving it a lot of thought, I found it hard to mix the supernatural side of Buffy and nBSG with the more scientific nature of SG1.
So far I've only written a couple of chapters of the sequel, and very little of it involves Dr Who, so give it a try and see what you think.

I really like the story so far! My only critique is that Boomer isn't the Eight that's pregnant by Helo. Boomer was the one who was on Galactica, shot Adama, and was shot in the stomach by Callie. The one who was on Caprica with Helo and ended up pregnant was Athena. Or, she became Athena anyway in season three when she officially joined the fleet.

Eerrmm... What movie is it that Xander quotes in this chapter? The "I am become Death" part sounds familliar... Is it Constantine? Or am I totally off track?
Comments from author:
It's from an ancient Hindu text called the Bhagavad Gita, and it was reportable quoted by J. Robert Oppenheimer, director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory, after the testing of first atomic bomb.
It's been re-quoted in many films and TV shows, The Hunt For Red October being one of them.

disregard the below text UNLESS you want a large dose of incompatible plotbunny
Halo.
Fill the galaxy with ancient constructs, like dead cities and drifting remnants of ancient weapons.
add The Flood, a parasite that can take anything of sufficient bioass as a host to become part of its 'collective'. They would wreak havoc on a fleet and provide good reading.
I can not wait to see what's going on in the sequel. Is Tara a PTB? Is Tara a Cylon? Or is she something else. Well you can't bet your ass I'll be tuned in to the same bat channel at the same bat time.
Comments from author:
If I told you, I'd have to kill you.
Truthfully, I've not decided just what Tara is yet, or even if it is Tara. I guess only time will tell.
Nice story, easy to read and follow, especially for those of us who don't follow the show all that much.
As for the metal stake, been done before in an old B&W Vamp movie from the 30's (Think it was one of Bella Lu's first flicks). Vamp didn't dust, just went dormant until it was removed. Nice twist
If you need another beta ...

I just finished reread your whole story and let me just say, Your Fracking Cliffhanger is a Mother Fracker! Lol! Tara? Hummm. I look forward to the next installment of your story. I thought your story only got better as it went along and I am very impressed with the way you handle all the characters. And to think, this is all the fault of Cordy. Lol! Good work, but I need more!

I hate to tell you this, but I do have a thing for cliffhangers...
