Review of chapter "Chapter 2" from Chosenfire
Review:
Oh I love this so much and the Cordelia and House exchage was brilliant, I hope you keep them close to character and cant wait to see where you take this next
Comments from author:
I will try to keep them as close to character as I can. I'm glad you enjoyed the Cordy/House exchange. I think House is going to find that his minions' younger siblings are much less malleable than his minions themselves are- I can't imagine either Buffy or Cordy being cowed by House.

Review:
Seems far too similar to the "Scoobies get reincarnated but for some reason they're still all together and friends" fics. While they're still (mostly) all in character, it's all just too convenient and contrived that half the major characters of one show are related to three of the four major characters from the other show.
Comments from author:
I see this more as a strictly AU fic for the Buffyverse- kind of akin to totally AU non-crossover fics that do things like write a fic that has the plot of some romance novel or teen movie, but the characters of the Buffyverse- like one time, I read an all-human AU which was "Cheaper By the Dozen" written with all BtVS characters. It's putting the canon characters into a completely different situation and stipulating that at the start. It's different from reincarnation fics, because in those fics, the Buffyverse canon exists. Since this is set pre-season 1 on BtVS, I'm not dealing with the Buffyverse canon. Sunnydale doesn't exist in this fic. I'm not asking you to believe that all of these people who knew each other in Sunnydale are related to people from another show- that would tax belief. I'm just writing an AU in which these characters (with the exception of Willow and Xander) have never met, and instead of meeting up in Sunnydale, they're meeting up in Jersey. It's not "convenient" because to be convenient, Sunnydale and the season 1 Buffyverse canon would have to exist; though I'm trying to stay as close to canon as possible in terms of Buffy's history and Cordelia's family, the canon as you seem to conceive it doesn't exist, and therefore, there's no coincidence. Xander and Willow are at the hospital because Xander has an aunt who knows a really great diagnostician who might be able to help Willow. Buffy and Cordy are just two girls who aren't connected in any way who happen to have siblings who work together. The only coincidence is that these three things are happening at the same time.

It would be different if this fic was set in season four, and all of a sudden, all of the characters on one show were related to characters on another. I agree with you- that would be ridiculous. But since I'm starting the fic BEFORE season 1 starts and it's AU, that kind of coincidence doesn't ever come into play.

Review:
*laugh* I love Cordy. Who else would call house Limpy McLimperson? Which really did seem her. I'm not sure about 'pleasure yourself' though-- it doesn't really seem like a Cordy euphemism, but I could be off. Cameron is her usual soft-touch self, as she should be, and I liked the intro to Xander and Willow. Looking forward to more!
Comments from author:
You're probably right about the "pleasure yourself" line. I'll try to rework it to seem more Cordy, though I do want it to seem harsher and a bit off from her usual self (to show how this whole tax fraud thing is really shaking her more than she'd admit, I want her to be slightly off her game).

Review:
So, a hell mouth is North Jersey. Possible. I think that since spontaeous combustion is so rare as to be almost fictional in ever existing in the first place, House might in a Holmsian way allow it to be magic -- or a mutation related to electrolite imbalances.
Comments from author:
I haven't decided yet whether or not there'll be a hellmouth in Jersey yet, though I most likely will go in that direction. For now, I'll be dealing with Willow's magic and probably a random vampire or two, but probably won't get into the BtVS canon villains just yet.

Review of chapter "Chapter 1" from eponine
Review:
Judging purely by the summary, I wasn't expecting to like this- I've never been a huge fan of the whole "long-lost sibling" thing. Since its a house!fic, however, I had to give it a chance, and I'm pretty glad I did. I can't wait to see what happens with Buffy, and Cordelia as pretty-boy Chase's spoiled little sister? Ought to be priceless.
Comments from author:
I may rework the summary. While I'm trying to make this somewhat believable with the beginning Buffyverse canon, I really just wanted a way to write a complete AU, with a House setting. I'm glad you're enjoying, and hope you like Cordelia and Chase's interaction- you'll see a taste of it in the third part, which I just uploaded.

Review:
Heh-- typical House. I liked his description of Cordy. And an interesting way for Willow's powers to start manifesting if that is, indeed, what's happening. I'll be interested to see if she and Xander and Cordy have the same history with each other that they do in canon.
Comments from author:
I'm still debating on whether Xander, Willow, and Cordy all went to the same high school before. On the one hand, it would be easier to keep the dynamic the same if they did, but on the other, it kind of taxes belief that all three of them would end up at a hospital in Princeton, New Jersey at the same time. I think I'm definitely going to try to keep Xander and Willow as best friends from childhood- I can pass that off as reasonable, because Willow could have ended up at Princeton-Plainsboro because Cuddy was Xander's Aunt. I'll have to really think about how essential it is that Xander and Willow have known Cordy previously- I'm tempted to just have her be very Queen C when she meets them and take it from there.

Review of chapter "Prologue" from (Recent Donor)dreamfall
Review:
Intriguing. I look forward to seeing where you take it. Presumably Chase is Cordy's older brother, and if Cameron is a relation of Buffy's and heard what happened, her heart so wouldn't let her not do something about it. This looks like fun!
Comments from author:
I just added the second chapter. You're right on about everything. Cordy and Chase are siblings (the last name thing was too convenient not to use, plus the fact that both of them grew up rich), and Cameron so wouldn't let anyone suffer through being wrongly institutionalized. Thanks for reviewing!
