Great start! I loved Xander's ability to see into people. After all, he is the One Who Sees. I think you have the beginnings of a great story with lots of detail and uniqueness, like Xander being head shy.
This is definitely going on my tracking list.

YES!! I was hoping someone would catch the whole One Who See's ness Xander is starting to manifest. And yes, I am proud of the head shy thing. It made sense to me. Besides, flawed characters are interesting. I'm writting as fast as I can...which isn't as impressive as it sounds.
Exiting a difficult past into a hopefully more pleasant though certainly no less chaotic future.

I'm planning on writing more about the eye thing in the next chapter, but since you reviewed. I thought about giving the eye back, but it's going to be vital to his One Who See's power, of which is alluded to with Jeremy. Stay tuned for more details in the next chapter!

Love this story so far. There are too few Xander/Anita Blake stories around. I can't wait until he meets up with some of the Anita Blake crew. Will they think he is a hyena shifter because of the possession while Xander denies it? Update soon!
