I never did like that stop-the-blood clause in the season 5 finale. I mean, really, why not nick a finger and then bandage it? But it does open up opportunities for fun crossover portal fic. So far, I'd say you've got Spike in character, and I look forward to seeing what you do with the AB-verse.

Neat. Is this a super special Spike story? (heh, that was an alliteration) Very cool idea of having Spike close the portal by drinking Dawns blood to close the portal. There's a sacrifice, and the Summers blood, it's genius! Heh, wonder what the St. Louis crew will think of him.
This was a very cool idea. Spike sacrificing himself for Buffy and Dawn is definitely in-character, and while I've seen the "Spike drains Dawn and qualifies as the Key" idea in a couple of fics, it's definitely NOT an overused cliche. It works.
Sending him to Anitaville? Neither Anita's crew, nor Spike, have any clue about what they're in for. Especially since I'm not so sure Spike wouldn't be desperately trying to figure out how to get back.
Awesome idea, I love it. I'm looking forward to the next update.

I love this story. In all of the stories that had twists of various characters falling/jumping off that damned tower, having it be Spike is new. And I adore that Joyce is pulling strings on his behalf.
