You should really come back to this story. I would love to read about the "grandchildrens" reaction when they are all grown up and meet "grandpa," especially since Buffy doesn't seem to have any mutation (though, without knowing about the supernatural most would probably assume her slayer abilities were mutant abilities).

Well, I have to say I found this to be very orginal! I absolutely love where you were going with this and I really hope you'll come and pick this fic up again soon. There's just so much potential here! Also, the fact that Buffy's name was Luna before she was adopted kinda tickles me, lol! Can't wait for more ;-)

Yay! I really liked the start you had given. The Xmen movies should at least give you a general idea of the Xmen world. The story lines have kind of changed over the years depending if you've watched the cartoons or read the comics. Marvel.com is a good source for information on the X men.
