Very cool fic. Love the Will/Kraken friendship and Will's view of Jack's attitude towards the world seems correct. I still don't get how Will figured out that the Kraken was a Animagus though.

And Animagus!Kraken/Squid is pretty hilarious.
got a point about the squid though - the kids only seem to see the tentacles, so it's hard to know if it's just a big tentacled something else or an actual squid. I like the idea that it's the PotC kraken.
I'm VERY glad that there was no tentacle-sex in this. I liked that Will found a friend like that, although I personally disagree about Liz committing suicide. Eventually I think she'd just up and join Jack, she and Will were never eant to be together.

I'm glad that you've put some thought into 'eternal life, even eternal young life, doesn't solve everything' and that different people would react differently to such a thing. Jack, well I can't see Jack really changing that much. You seem to have him pegged - and I'd bet that he continued having all sorts of interesting things happen to him.
I would be curious to see what may have happened to Will & Elizabeth's descendants.
Very amusing about the kraken/giant squid turning out that way.
