Interesting. Good story so far.
BUT... Buffy's death wouldn't activate anyone else. She already died once when she was drowned by the Master at 16, which activated Kendra. And Her death activated Faith, so only Faith's death would activate someone else. Now knowing the Council (A**holes), if Buffy died & Faith's still in a coma. They would kill Faith & activate another Slayer. (or Buffy's death MIGHT wake Faith up; the PTB are weird that way)
The Slayer line does not split. Buffy is a fluke. When she died diving off Glory's tower NOBODY was Called. There was no actively operating Slayer for apx. 5 months until Buff's resurrection. Faith at the time was in prison.

This is an AU where no matter how many times a Slayer dies, another is activated. This is not an original thought cause I've seen other authors do the same thing for the sake of their stories.

In canon yes, Buffy's subsequent deaths did not activate a new Slayer. This AU has slightly different rules.
