That was beautiful. I mean, seriously. Wow. -in shock- You capture Eowyn's voice so clearly, and the fantasy and mystery of shieldmaidens as well. The bit with "virgins, sworn to battle" evoked immediate Joan of Arc imagery, and fit so perfectly.

I would -love- to have a sequel to this, but it stands solidly on its own. Magnificent.

I have to say that once again you have written a beautiful piece of fiction. Although, I am once again, totally confused!!! I have to say that I am really not at all sure what is going on in this little series. I have no idea what's up with Buffy, and why everyone falls in love with her, etc. But I keep reading. I look forward to more. Update again soon please.
