I was really happy to see an update on this story. Thank you! I really like how you portray Buffy and I can hardly wait to see more interaction between she and Nick and all the CSI's as they try to figure out the weirdness that follows Buffy. As much as Gil likes bugs... maybe he needs a giant bug demon to terrorize the strip. lol From the authors' notes it sounds like you might be updating more often, thats great! I can hardly wait.

Your welcome and I'm so glad you enjoyed this update! I can't wait to bring in the rest of the CSI's and get them to slowly meet Buffy. Unfortunately, that may not happen for a bit as lots needs to occur before then. *evil smile*
*smiles* A giant demon bug, I like! Good idea!
More updates, more often. At least that's what I'm hoping my muse will allow. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and for leaving the wonderful review! Much appreciated.
Amazing story, excellent writing. And can I say I'm unbelievably glad this is a 100-prompt challenge? ;)
(Tiny quibble: 'chocking' should be 'choking', at the very end.)

I have amended the mistake, thanks for the heads up.
Oh-yah! I'm thrilled and thank you! While I'm excited for the journey of the 100-prompt challenge my muse has moments where she's less with the woo and more with the boo at the thought. Though with that said, I think I may have found a nice rhythm so hopefully updates won't be as sporadic as they have been.
Really appreciate you taking the time to read and leave a review, means a lot so thank-you so much!

I just stumbled on this story and am really glad that I did. This is only the second CSI/Buffy crossover and I am hooked. The writing is very well done. You've got the characters down really well. I like how Buffy actually tried a normal life at her friends' prompting. I can see that happening and her not being able to do normal. I like that Buffy is still dealing with the last few months in Sunnydale and how they effect her outlook on life. I can see the natural growth in Buffy and the pain she carries. Very well done. I thought Nick reaching out to her and the way he interviewed her was very in character as well. In one sentence you got across that Brass doesn't believe her. That was great. Nice job. I can hardly wait to see more!

It's how I got hooked. I read JediButtercup's "Grave Survivors" and was instantly hooked on this pairing. I love how you can play them off each other and still keep things moving.
I can easily see Buffy trying to be girl normal for her friends. Through out the seasons we've seen at times her desire to be able to do be that normal girl but I truly believe that once given the opportunity to sit by she wouldn't be able to do it. Wouldn't be able to repress the calling that she was destined for.
Glad you are enjoying the way I'm writing Buffy and her trials post-Chosen. *grins*
Sweet, sweet Nick. Always wanting to be there and help out. He's got a such a gentle heart and my muse is itching to get into that more with our Slayer.
Brass is naturally skeptical and doesn't trust those he doesn't know. He's gotten lied to a lot by witness' he's not going to be swayed as easily.
There's lots and lots more to come with this piece. Thanks for taking the time to read this story and for leaving feedback. Really enjoyed reading your thoughts on what has been posted thus far for this piece. Hope you enjoy what is to come.

Review of chapter "The Only One" from MadBrilliant
Review:
“about bloody time,”
she using spike-isms after all this time?
Comments from author:
Both a Spike and Giles-ism. *grins*
Thanks for also leaving a review, it's much appreciated!

whoo hooo! Lovely update. You do know that you are torturing us with these little bitty bites right?
Comments from author:
*grins* I'm not purposely trying to torture... well maybe sub-consciously. *winks* I'm not posting everything that I have written so that way should my muse ever abandon me during this 100 prompt challenge I've got some stuff to fall back on. *grins*
I'm so glad the piece is still holding your interest! Thanks for leaving a review, it means a lot!

Oh poor Buffy! Seriously, your little details make this story/series such a joy to read. I just heart Nick, and his attempt to help Buffy deal with the trauma (even though he doesn't see and/or understand the whole picture). And then poor Buffy, swallowing back the bile, reliving the whole event, having to see the picture of the victim.
I know Brass isn't the friendliest man in the world, but based on how you portrayed him I'm left with the feeling that he doesn't believe Buffy. And if he decides to look into her background a little more things could get hairy!
Thanks for sharing this with us :)

Okay, the fact you mentioned the little details makes me want to leap through the screen and offer to bake you some sort of dessert! I've been trying to work so hard on those little details and to know that they've assisted in the story just! EGADS! Makes me grin from ear to ear and jump around enthusiastically!
Nick is such a sweetheart and I had fun writing that little gesture because he totally wouldn't get Buffy pulling away from the affection. Doesn't understand the whole back-story and leading up to this moment events. Though I will admit, I wanted some touching between the two. So it served a duel purpose. *Grins*
That bile moment is one of my favorites from this installment. Thrilled that it came across to readers the way I intended.
Brass definitely isn't Mr. Friendly and who knows... maybe he'll go digging a little further. *whistles* Or maybe he won't. *snickers* If he so chooses things could get a little difficult for Buffy. Explaining that whole charged with murder/not charged with murder could get a little hard.
Thank you for not only reading but leaving feedback. Completely makes my day, so thank you!
I loved this. You got right into Buffy's head and gave us a very real and satisfying view of how her life would be after Sunnydale. The details you gave us were perfect - great job :)
I hope we will get a continuation of this verse. I'm looking forward to seeing where you would take it :)

Wow! *blushes* Thank you so-so-so much! I like my Buffy more broken than fixed and I just don't see everything in her life being hunky-dorey post Chosen and all of her decisions being easy ones.
There is definitely going to be more. I've picked this pairing for TtH100 and there's more to this story, just need to write it now!
Thank you again for such an amazing review and for taking the time to read the piece.
