Review of chapter "On the Hunt" from AllenPitt
Review:
There are several problems facing them here. Not least of which is, they have a time limit --Graduation Day. If Buffy isn't back before then, the Mayor's Ascension isn't going to be stopped. (he's a smart guy-knows he didn't need to beat the council & slayer(s)--just delay to that day. As is, things are going very well for him, ie no interference with getting that box of spiders...probably has 1 of the vamps working for him kill off the prof of archaeology, etc.
I realize this is Xander-centered, but why isn't Angel joining them in their search for Faith? He'd be quite helpful. He's even been to Las Vegas before (back in the 50s) ---
Anyway--Buffy is screwed on the conviction, I don't see any way to prove her innocence short of a confession by Faith, and I doubt that'd be accepted absent convincing evidence--judges are quite reluctant to overturn convictions based solely on somebody saying they did it instead...

Review of chapter "Run, Buffy, Run." from CarterOfMars
Review:
You're clearly a talented writer but I don't see Buffy caring about Faith as you suggest in this tale, if she had, she'd have done something in canon pre Faith going off the rails.

But hey, you do write well.

I'm pretty sure Shakespeare's old enough you don't need to disclaim it. Especially after crediting the quote.

Enjoyed it.

Review of chapter "Run, Buffy, Run." from Wolflady
Review:
Unlikely. Even if Buffy was guilty of killing Finch, at most a court could convict her of would be second degree murder. The actual legal definition is involuntary manslaugter, but I doubt that would fly, as she couldn't very well say, "I was fighting for my life againt vampires and the idiot just stepped in."

Review of chapter "Hunter Musings" from CPTSkip
Review:
This is one terrific story. It is all playing out in a logical manner and this means eventually I figure the Marshals will figure it out. I just hope Xander and Buffy find Faith and eventually the three bring the Fires of Hell down on the CoWs. If Faith is in Las Vegas, will the CSI folks get involved? I really, really look forward to more of your story.

Hope the case becomes an X file which constantly humilates Feds. Way to go Xan. Hope the Mayor eats some of the jurors, judge and prosecuters that attend graduation.

Review of chapter "Hunter Musings" from Greywizard
Review:
This is definitely one of my most favorite stories, man!!! ;-)

Loved seeing the viewpoints of Gerard and Sisco regarding the 'incident,' and also loved seeing the hardcore investigator side of their personalities wondering about various inconsistencies and the flimsiness of the evidence originally presented against Buffy.

I also loved the way they're pretty much discounting Xander as the person who developed the rescue plan, and have already started to think of him more as merely a henchman following instructions developed by someone further up the food chain, so to speak. Underestimating an opponent is a major mistake regardless of where you are, or who they might be, and that is going to screw them up eventually.

Great work, as I said, buddy.

Can't wait to see more.
Comments from author:
In some ways he is the henchman, given that Giles provided money, intel, and clues to useful tools. But he is an intelligent henchman who doesn't need his hand held to get the job done or a step by step guide on what to do to achieve a goal. If Giles hadn't had faith in his abilities to act independently from constant supervision he never would have been trusted with the task without much closer guidance which would have made the task that much more difficult given the Council's scrutiny of everyone.

wonder if Wesley if stupid enough to visit Joyce? or dumb enough to let the council talk him into it?

Xander seems to enjoy a little to much annoying strong women its gonna get him a lot thumps along the way but he'll most likely enjoy most of them.

good story looking forward to your next chapter.

Priceless humiliation of the feds. Any tale that leaves such great humilation of government stooges is a golden academy award winner, but yours is just truly the best one I've seen yet. Looking forward to more like that happening to the Council, Travers, the Mayor, and the government injustice group from prosecuter to judge who would convict a teen for saving the bloody world! Killing them is too easy. Humiliation is eternal. Thank you

Great to see more of this story, too, buddy!!

And I loved "...He wasn’t sure where, when or how it would happen but payment would be collected in full..." with referenced to the Council's fate, since THAT is definitely the Xander I grew to know and love! ;-)

Still looking forward to seeing Wesley and Quentin get accidentally castrated by a runaway lawnmower. ;-)
