Sounds good, so far. Figures that Buffy would get mad at Xander. All he did was save her life, sacrifice his own life and go on the run with her. But that doesn't measure up to her having to wear mens clothing and an ACE bandage. Girl needs a reality check.

Good story but.

Isn´t Xander somewhat undermotivated here ? In series he was willing to help now and then but risking his future for a woman who will never be his wife or girlfriend.

I liked your start to this story. I hope you eventually return to this story and tell us more about Buffy's and Xander's adventures on the road. Possibly they could run into some of the Heroes characters that work for the Company before the start of the series or even interact with some of Jerrod the Pretender's operations or even mess up some of the Umbrella Corporation's evil dealings as they chase Faith. They might even have to pass through Roswell NM. Lol!

Don.'t forget CSI or the Law and Order gangs. JAG is also a neat one

A very interesting idea you've offered us here, my friend, and one that lends itself to a large number of potential storylines as the two of them search for the missing Slayer.

This also definitely has potential to be a very fun story, especially if, or more precisely, *when* Buffy decides to start teasing Xander with brief glimpses of areas that are usually well-covered. ;-)

She knows that he's been interested in her for several years now and, even if he was possibly not interested, it's not like he wouldn't enjoy the view anyway, right? ;-)

I easily can see Buffy doing this as part of the payback that she seems to think he deserves for the bit with the men's underwear, especially since her self-esteem is probably needing a major boost at this point in time. After all, I don't know of any jail in the country that would let a teenage girl possess anywhere near all of the makeup and other toiletries that they undoubtedly believe they need on daily basis. And the knowledge that Xander is 'safe' to tease like that will almost certainly feed into that urge, too.

All in all, an excellent start.

Thank you for your kind words. As you point out there are many juicy plots that can be placed easily into this story as they move around looking for Faith. Of course they still have a timeline to deal with, depending on how close to canon I keep it.

As for payback for Xander, I think that might start with a long, slow, noisy session with a tootsie pop while lounging around in the t-shirt and briefs because the air conditioning is out.

I really liked the story. The only reason I didn't give it a 10/10 is that I think you should revised the opening of the story. I think it would be better if you opened up with the Mayor talking with his chief flunky (vampire Trick?) that since Faith has left town, and that his plans for ascension is so close to completion. That he insures that Buffy goes to jail for the killing of Mr. Finch. I really hope that you continue the story, as I've really enjoyed it.

I am considering some flashbacks to the trial for future chapters, but I kinda like starting out with the verdict being read. I felt it gave just a bit of suspence as to what was about to happen rather than giving it away with the type of set up you suggest. Thank you for your review.
