Review of chapter "Chapter One" from prehensileclaw
Review:
Not usually a fan of DC crosses... but this is really interesting. Well written too. Thanks for writing =)
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. Actually, its a marvel cross. Going to see a lot of various guest stars in this one. But it will be told from the area around Buffy rather than jumping all over the place. 8)

Glad you added the note to re-read the prologue.

Never was a big Fantastic Four comic fan, and was really disappointed in the shallowness of the first movie; so much so that I never saw the second one.

You may convert me, yet!

Please continue, soon!

Thanks for the review.

I read the FF growing up. Dropped it when I got a bit older. Recently read a few issues online. Gotten better, as has Marvel Comics as a whole. Movie was beyond awful. Jessica Alba? ROFLMAO!

Oooh. was that Dr. Strange's astral form? Can only magic sensitives see him or anyone?
Thanks for sharing and continuing the story.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. Dr. Strange's astral form is visible to anyone if he desires it. According to canon. 8)

Review:
Oh excellent you are taking the real world approach. Great chapter!
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. Not sure what real world approach is, but I am trying to stick to canon. However, expect some changes with the presence of Buffy in the marvelverse. 8)

Review:
Excellent work. I liked the revised Prolog. It reads much smoother now. I also like your version of Buffy and the FF. The line that made me laugh out loudest was: "He'd gotten knocked on his keister by someone named 'Buffy.'" Lol! I wonder if there is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show in this Marvelverse? Please go write more as I really want to read What Comes Next.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the revised Prologue.

Ben was always a fav character to me growing up. I always thought he got the best lines.

Great idea. It would be funny if there was a BTVS show. If I use it, I'll credit you. 8)

I love the idea !! It is well written and funny. And the idea of letting them be comic superheroes in the universe Buffy came from is really great!!!
I am really looking forward the next !
Hope to read you really soon ^^

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like it. The comic superhero idea came from AllenPitt. My beta, Ponder, prodded me to use it. I like how it fits in also. 8)

Review:
heh. Soon she'll be wishing she'd read some of Xander's comics. She'd know everybody's secret identities! And stuff. Though odds are she does know a lot--ie referred to "my spidey sense" at one point to Giles, stuff like that---
Dr. Strange's astral form--so she can see and hear him in that form? I'll bet everybody else thinks she's talking to the air....
It'll be interesting to see if there's a buffy summers in this universe (not the slayer of course)
Hey--can she summon the hammer mentally? Just wondering....
So, this is set just before Marvel's "civil war" / registration act stuff? (I'll bet she knows who the X-Men are)---
a few months down the line maybe Willow finds her? Would be fun to have a Willow / Jean Grey meeting ---similar powers...
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review.

I agree that she will wish for more knowledge. Although with the super-powers act going into effect soon, every superhero is either out of the closet or underground. The real question would be whether she joins Ironman and Reed Richards or goes underground with Captain America and Spiderman. Or even stays out on her own.

Actually everyone can see Dr. Strange in his astral form. That's marvel canon.

You find out more about the hammer.

Yes, set just before Marvel's Civil War. Still working on the timeline, especially since I have finished the series yet. 8)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Dargos
Review:
Good chapter.Whereas Buffy doesn´t totally reject human laws, it´s a secondary concern for her (check out this article for one interpretation of BTVS http://www.spr-consilio.com/ChoosingLaws.pdf.)

Aside from that Buffy burned down school´s gym, blew up another school, participated in stealing a rocket launcher, attempted to kill Faith, etc.

Problem with crossing superhero genre is that in other genres heroes do kill.Buffy would be better off joining Magneto.

Buffy did talk about human laws and human evil but her and Xander´s main concern was still what killing would do to Willow. When crisis was over, taking Willow to authorities was not even considered.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. You have a good point about that. While Buffy allows human laws to deal with human evil, there has been a mixed message sent about how she views the way the law affects her. She has made many unspoken points about being above the law, i.e. not turning in a variety of people for murder. At the same time, in S6, she did try to turn herself in for the death of that girl. Course that appeared to me to be just part of her general depression in dealing with the loss of heaven.

Will I have Buffy kill? The idea that she would stand by and allow a super-powered villain to destroy parts of the city and put lives in jeopardy over and over is ludicrous. More likely it would be a stake to the heart. or whatever it took. So expect some surprises.

Btw, Magneto wouldn't want her. Not a mutant. 8(

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from ranlynn
Review:
Oh goody, you updated. I must say I'm really liking this 'verse' you're creating here.

I've been reading some of the 'reviews' & I just wanted to comment on Buffy 'not caring' about human laws because that's not exactly true.

She does care but a slayer's calling is to protect regular humans from the supernatural oolglie booglies they have *no hope* of defending themselves against.

On the show she has stated that there are human laws to deal with 'human' evil, ie:some act or crime with no supernatural connection or influences at all.

Those things are not part of a *slayer's* responsibility (unless it's directly affecting her or her family, friends) because regular humans are perfectly capable of handling strictly human criminals.

I suppose the quesion you have to answer is how will Buffy view a 'meta-human' that, while not mystical in nature, is still something 'Joe Normal' can't handle on thier own.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. You have raised an excellent point. I agree that Buffy will usually allow human laws to deal with human evil. The exception is magical humans, i.e. witches, sorcerers, etc. Those she will put down, like she did Gwendolyn Post in S3.

As far as my Buffy, you will just have to read to find out her take on meta-humans. 8)
