OK, now THAT was funny! (not that previous chapters weren't, but this one really got me!)
Actually, the dwarves already had throwable battle bread (one such I recall was the "battle bread of Brian Bloodaxe" mentioned in "Feet of Clay" (IIRC)), but pizza would be much lighter and a little more aerodynamic... thank heavens Willow didn't try teaching Xander to bake cookies... she didn't, right?

Enjoyable and entertaining. Chapter 5 needs to have the formatting corrected. Also, you need a better title; I almost didn't read it because the existing title is so boring - and I bet you've spent a lot more than twenty minutes on it by now!
Addition: I see you've taken my suggestion regarding the title - that's much better.
Some truly delightful turns of phrase in this. Xander seems to have found his own little niche in the Watch and I would think he and Vimes would have the same attitude about a lot of things.
