Damn, this is REALLY good! I love the amnesia part, and Buffy finding the pard before they have to go grovel to Anita. I can't wait to read the next chapter!

Does she have disassociative amnesia? Cause that would explain her detachment, I think. So, so very well written.
Don't know what else to say. It just sucks me in, a series of images in my head of heat and sunlight and for some bizarre reason savannah.

'something's coming'? Just what she needs... maybe if she shifts, that'll heal whatever's wrong ?
If she IS a shifter, and she gets tied to that dead body by forensics, she's in a world of trouble, there's that whole "locked up and the key thrown away" thing for shifters....
Next up as a problem is, some vamp with 'cat' as his or her animal to call will feel he's her master automatically. And that never ends well....

The desperation of the pard to have someone of their own was really well done, and their willingness to accept someone as . . . damaged . . . as Buffy works.

So, is this a different reality? The same reality with additions? Is Buffy actually a were, or her slayer self?

Mystery, mystery, mystery! LoL So many unanswered questions! "Anne" is being drug toward trouble..and I am curious about how she is going to handle it once it's in her face. If there is any Buffy left in there...she wouldn't turn her back on anyone being hurt or abused.

Concerning what she's capable of..She's obviously powerful, but is is Slayer power, or Were power?...or is is BOTH!?

She looked up.

“We can eat something,” said Cherry, “and find you some real clothes. Shoes.” Her mouth worked. “Decide what to do.”

“We can call the rest of the pard,” said Zane eagerly. “Gregory, Vivian—”

“Elizabeth,” said Cherry."

---All Buffy wants is a phonebook, not to be pushed into being their leader. I think they need to back off a little bit. It's understandable if they don't, I guess, but still. Don't smother the poor, near catatonic girl.

So is Buffy really a were? Are you going to involve the rest of the AB cast or are you going to focus on the shifters? Does she really have no memory of who or what she is? Anyway I'd love to see where you're going with this.

Looks like Zane is going to jump on the chance to install Buffy as the Nimir-Ra..It almost works better for them that she doesn't know who she is, or has another life to go to. As long as she is able to protect them. These are desperate people..

I guess the next big question is, will she shift, or not.... in the slayerverse the slayer never does, she has 'essence of a demon' that gives her all her abilities. Here, she seems to be a shifter, of some cat species.... so is she like Anita just 'having the spirit' or can she shift? either way I can see many vamps would want her for a triumvirate, or at least if 'cat' is their animal to call would want her to control her etc... not sure that would work too well...heh....
They might be surprised by her reaction to meeting a vamp...... the memory loss is very weird, hopefully it's short term.
And hey--maybe by chapter 5, she'll get some clothes to wear! -- .... presumably very soon the master of the city will be informed of her presence, and demand that she come to pay respects. I'm sure that will go well....
