I've just reread this story and was pleased to see a new chapter. Hope RL and your muse will let you update fairly soon. Catherine and Sara: they make quite the cute couple, don't they? Glad that Mr Gordo is seeing some lurve action. Unless, of course, Miss Piggybottom comes out as lesbian ;) I thought that Grissom's team took the revelation that Buffy's the Slayer quite calmly. I'm guessing they've had run-ins with the supernatural. Thanks for the story!

That's because where the brackets are there should be a might, otherwise I committed a typo. :(


So what it should say is,

You might differentiate between the moms by saying Mom-C (Catherine) and Mom-J (Joyce).

For when Buffy or Dawn are talking about both moms.


As for the other stuff you're right, they do use fictitious names for things. They also get stuff wrong. For instance one of the early shows said judges were appointed and in NV judges are elected.

I didn't mention Joyce much after the early chapters, so it wouldn't make much of a difference, but if I would've thought about when I was first writing it, I probably would have made a distinction between the two moms.

You keep referring to it as PD when they would refer to it as Metro, short for Metropolitan Police Dept.

Metro are the county cops. Several decades ago the Sheriffs Dept. and the LVPD were combined to form Metro PD meaning all of Clark County that isn't part of another jurisdiction, like North LV or Henderson, is their territory.

Clark County, NV is bigger than some eastern states.

Again if you watch ANY CSI, they often say PD.

Wil and I have had a few more skating dates, and she is picking it up faster than I thought she would. Plus, she has been checking on courses at Western LVU.


That's UNLV. I've lived in the Vegas Valley since the late '50's so trust me when I say it's UNLV.

You may live in the Vegas Valley, but if you've watched ANY CSI, you would know that Western LVU is a college that they reference often.

I was really looking forward to this story, but all the people/couples whose characters are not gay being portrayed as such was just too much...if it was only one or two people it wouldn't have bothered me, but changing so many people was off-putting and unrealistic, I just couldn't enjoy the story because of it, sorry.

I like the story, but I am curious where you got "Marie" as Willow's middle name.

It's not impossible, but "Marie" seems like an unlikely name for a girl with very religious Jewish parents to have.
