Just checking, though -- so far, only Dawn knows that Jack has the memories of a 50-something Air Force general (not Kit and Carlos)? Or do all three 'kids' know that Jack's not ENTIRELY the teenager he seems to be? (If Carlos and Kit don't know, I can just imagine the reasons they envision for Jack's choice not to date other teenagers of either sex.)

At the current moment in Fragile Existence, only Dawn knows the full truth. Kit and Carlos, however, do know that Jack isn't 'real' so to speak. I'll probably touch on this more in Fragile Existence.

I like the real reason Carlos cancelled the date. That's so much manly. LOL. I like how you managed to show the uncomfortable feeling Jack and Carlos feels for the chick flick moments. Good chapter.

Awwww...! That's so . . . Jack (and how cool is it that Carlos takes the edge off the potentially emotional moment by trying to weasel car keys, too -- doing the "hey, I'm still a high school boy!" thing). Love Dawn's response, also.

I like how you make Jack completely uncomfortable when dealing with emotion especially women's emotion. That's very in-character. There's going to be more?
