Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from Marcel
Fantastic chapter, I can't wait to see the "real" battle :P
Comments from author:
Yeah, it'll be more impressive than the skirmishing so far ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from Inquisitor
cool...although i'm a bit surprised why Xander hadn't taken the initiative to go to a local military base with the local slayers&start doing a mass five finger discount shopping of their supplies knowing their situation...or at least get a lot of rocket launchers...better yet, highjack a fuel tanker truck&rip the top off....teleport it in the air so it spread the fuel&then it would fall into the ground to explode as an improvised Fuel Air Explosive...

what about were-rabbits that Anya is so scared of...not sure how effective they're going to be against the rock demons but they're small enough that the bugs can't fight them properly especially since they don't wear any armour...problem with those is getting rid of all of them after the battle is over...

can't Willow make the bugs a bit smaller like a quarter of their actual size...that way it would be easier for heavy artillery to wipe them out...
Comments from author:
Xander didn't have time to do much and he's find sneaking into a UK military installation and figuring out the weaponry a tad trickier than the US equipment and locations he knew thanks to his halloween escapades.

FAE's are better suited to fighting Turok-han and will be seen again in the Fic...

Unfortunately for Willow bug "blood magicks" are damn effective at preventing her screwing them over like that.

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from (Recent Donor)MissingAuthor
You're doing a wonderful job in capturing the different personalities from the two universes. As always your military tactics and descriptions are outstanding.

Can't wait for more!

Comments from author:
Thanks, I think I've gradually developed the Compelled characters enough by now that the contrast with the canon ones is getting pretty glaring. Joss is too easy on them :-p

I love this series! I re-read it every few months and I love it more each and every time.

Nice to hear you're getting such enjoyment from the series and that it's worth several re-reads :-)

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from Sendai
Oh my there is going to be a lot of friction after everything is over. If gunslayers mock the slayers from their own universe, we will not hear the end of it here. Come on. they are even picking on alternate Buffy already!

Uber fun :) thanks for quick update.
Comments from author:
Gunslayers look down on the regular slayers from their own universe, "canon" slayers are too wussy for words :-p

Oh come on. You leave us hanging just when a massive battle with Illyria in charge is about to start? You are evil so very evil :)

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from arkeus
ahah ^^

Had to wait a bit for the chapter to upload here too though.

Loving this so far, though i am kinda sad willow didn't do crowd control spells.
Comments from author:
There was a delay transferring the chapter from to here because the changes over there screw up the formatting and it takes some time to fix them I'm afraid.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Past Donor)James
I like the inside joke about the whole story being long than War and Peace. Cute. I like cute.

Comments from author:
Every so often I'm struck by the urge to throw in something like that :-p

By the end of "High Stakes" Compelled will be the equivalent of an average length *novel* longer than War and Peace as it happens!

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Past Donor)Jewel
Lovely start to the newest epic (I've noticed that each complete book is longer than the one before, so I've got high hopes). Looking forward to the next (bloody) instalment :)
Comments from author:
I try and make each story a little longer whilst sticking to my 32 Chapter limit.

Thanks for the review and hope you like Chapter 2 as well.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from PunkCanuck
Very cool, please keep up the good work,

Hmm, It seems to me that after a few dimension jumps we're going to start running into large numbers of the same or genetically identical individuals.

can you imagine an 8 person squad of Vi's or Jailbait's? Of course it also opens up the potential threat of brainwashed versions from one of the worlds that the Bugs have conquered infiltrating slayer central.

And with alternate Dawns that will certainly make things interesting. the Bugs or First Evil wouldn't need to grab the Pathfinder dawn, they could just grab an alternate version from a less capable dimension. And that would certainly cause issues.

And I wonder how much longer before the pathfinder dawn runs across a world where the slayer or slayers there are still controlled by the old council. Would the slayer(s) there just try to kill Dawn and Connor, or would something else happen. Or how about a fully functional watchers council. I doubt they would put up with all of these uppity slayers. Or cede control to the pathfinder dimension.

Oh well, speculation can be entertaining.

I can't wait for the next chapter, We haven't seen Enyo in a real battle situation, and I expect it'll be pretty good. Eh, I just want to see the god squad go all out. I think Glory has grown as a character and it seems like this would be a good time to really show it.

Please keep up the good work.

Plenty of God-Squad action forthcoming!
